Unmasked – K-drama Episode 6 1

Meanwhile, Team Trigger grapples with the aftermath of a bribery scandal involving one of their GR chauffeurs. Their legal counsel, Yeo Yun-cheol, vehemently asserts the authenticity of the remaining footage provided, despite relentless probing from the GR lawyers. In the face of this onslaught, So-ryong and Han Do remain unperturbed, coolly agreeing to meet their adversaries in court, while casually dropping hints about other misdeeds they are privy to within GR's corridors of power.

Returning to their office, they find it invigorated by the addition of a promising new writer, Park Jin-mi. Meanwhile, Na-hee is conspicuously absent, revealed to be at home tending to her feverish daughter.

The narrative pivots back to the young woman from the opening scene, Nam Ga-yeon, a middle school teacher beset by worry. Some time ago, she received a menacing letter, its contents gnawing at her peace of mind. A male colleague persistently peppers her with questions, but she brushes him off, unsettled. Seeking solace, she approaches the police, who decipher a chilling message hidden in the initial letters of each line: "I'll kill you."

She confides in them her suspicions, only to be reassured that her perceived stalker is incarcerated and incapable of harming her. However, her reality becomes further distorted by auditory hallucinations of a haunting melody, sending her into a panic. Later, in the parking lot, as she approaches her car, the figure from her nightmares reappears, lurking in the shadows. In a panic, she flees, her belongings spilling from her bag in a chaotic scuffle. Desperate, she shouts for help from an incoming driver. Amidst the clutter, the mysterious man snatches a ring box, leaving Ga-yeon's life more entangled and perilous than ever.Elsewhere, So-ryong has unearthed crucial evidence—footage of the graffiti vandal captured by a taxi's dashcam. The video reveals a figure shrouded in a black raincoat, wielding an umbrella. As she ponders this clue, her phone rings, leading to a subsequent meeting with a trembling Ga-yeon. So-ryong reveals that Na-hee contacted her, and together, they escort Ga-yeon to her office for safety. Na-hee soon arrives, persuading Chief Park to allow Ga-yeon to remain indoors as a precaution. It transpires that Ga-yeon too has changed her name at some point in the past.

Na-hee then recounts to So-ryong a harrowing tale: a decade ago, she and the producer aired an episode on this very matter, risking their lives in the process. The team gathers to watch the old episode, which depicts Ga-yeon's wedding day turned chaotic by a gun-toting Choi Ho-seong. Unable to bear Ga-yeon with another man, he bursts into the venue and opens fire. Ga-yeon's husband perishes, while Ho-seong forces her to sit beside him as he plays the piano until the police arrive.

Eager to dive into the investigation, So-ryong faces reluctance from Han Do, who is wary of the perpetrator's dangerous nature. Undeterred, So-ryong sets out alone. Outside, a man in an army jacket tracks Ga-yeon's location to the KNS office using his phone.

So-ryong's attempts to secure CCTV footage from the parking lot staff fall short. She then searches for Ga-yeon's car and discovers a GPS tracker hidden beneath it. Worried about So-ryong, Han Do joins her, and they devise a plan to leave the tracker as bait for the culprit.

Next, So-ryong tries her luck at the swimming club but is met with rejection once more. Han Do spots a sex toy shop across the street, equipped with CCTV cameras. He agrees to purchase the most expensive item (using the card bestowed upon him by President Koo) in exchange for the footage. The footage reveals a man lurking around Ga-yeon's car. Reluctantly, Han Do is compelled to add an expensive bondage set to his purchase.

They retraced their steps to where Chief Park informed them that the prosecutor had declined to disclose whether Ho-seong remained incarcerated. Ga-yeon, being directly involved, realized she had to verify the situation herself. In a candid moment, she confessed to Na-hee that she was in love and even engaged to someone. However, driven by fear for their safety, she had ended the relationship. Na-hee, feeling exasperated, poured her frustrations out to So-ryong, who provided some soothing comfort.

With Yun-cheol's assistance, the team eventually received confirmation that Ho-seong was not in prison. Yun-cheol revealed that Ho-seong had been diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder and had been transferred to a psychiatric hospital. He further presented them with a photograph of Ho-seong, making it evident that the man captured on CCTV was not Ho-seong. In a moment of generosity, So-ryong offered Ga-yeon refuge at her own place for protection.

Meanwhile, Han Do sold his bondage set to Yoon Byeong-gun. As he was departing, he encountered President Koo in the elevator. Koo inquisitively asked if Han Do had any more information on the Cha Seung-wook case or if he was reconsidering their agreement. Han Do reassured him that he was just on his way to discuss it further.

Inside the psychiatric hospital, Ho-seong's dual personalities were laid bare. One of his personas produced an object resembling Ga-yeon's ring, frozen in ice within a ring box.

Elsewhere, the male teacher from earlier approached So-ryong, introducing himself as Ga-yeon's fiancé. With a bouquet in hand, he entrusted So-ryong with delivering the flowers to Ga-yeon. Upon returning home, So-ryong found Han Do there, looking distressed. Han Do explained that Gi-ho had called him, falsely claiming that So-ryong needed their help. Despite So-ryong's denial, both armed themselves with bats, ready for any confrontation that might arise as they ascended to her house.

However, upon opening the door, they are greeted by an unexpected surprise: Gi-ho and Na-hee's meticulously planned birthday party for So-ryong. Moments later, Chief Park and Song-I arrive, adding to the festive atmosphere. As they all settle down to enjoy a delightful dinner with Ga-yeon, she remarks that their team feels more like a close-knit family. When the others have left and they are alone, So-ryong presents Ga-yeon with a bouquet of flowers, adding a touch of romance to the evening.

After the satisfying meal, So-ryong sees everyone off, while Chief Park captures a heartwarming group selfie of the team. So-ryong then hands Song-I the footage of the graffiti culprit, entrusting her to delve into the mystery. Han Do lingers behind and, finding himself alone with So-ryong, confesses something weighty on his mind – he reveals that he is, in fact, Dr. Trigger.

In a mid-credit scene from Unmasked Episode 6, Byeong-gun makes a striking entrance at his wife's place, donning a leather jacket and the complete bondage gear. She greets him with a warm smile, inviting him in, creating a tantalizing preview of what's to come.
