Virgin River – Season 6 Episode 10 1

Upon their return, the wedding ceremony resumes with elegance and beauty. Vernon secures permission from the hospital for Everett to attend the reception, where he serenades the couple with a heartfelt song. Meanwhile, Brady and Brie find themselves entangled in a complex web of mutual affection. Lark, inadvertently eavesdropping on their conversation, initially strives to grant Brady the benefit of doubt. However, when she confronts him about their discussion at the reception and he deceives her, her resolve hardens. She decides to depart Virgin River, taking Brady's savings with her as a parting shot.

The wedding celebrations evoke a wave of introspection in Kaia, casting doubts on her readiness to remarry. She declares to Preacher that a second marriage is not in her future. Yet, Preacher's heartfelt best man speech, commending Mel and Jack's courage in choosing love anew, begins to ease her apprehensions. She realizes that marriage, with the right partner, is far from dreadful. As the reception draws to a close, she shares with Preacher a possible shift in her stance, hinting that she might be open to the idea of marrying him.

After spending a considerable portion of the day locked in heated debate, they finally reconcile during the wedding ceremony. Determined to celebrate their love and tackle Vernon's medical license issue at a later juncture, they hit the dance floor, eager to outshine Muriel and Walt in a dance-off. However, Muriel and Walt emerged victorious, as expected. On a lighter note, Muriel remains resilient in her fight against cancer, maintaining an unwavering optimism.

Mike, inspired by their reconciliation, decides to propose to Brie, despite being aware of her past encounter with Brady. His willingness to overlook this hurdle catches Brie off guard, and the episode concludes without revealing her definitive response to his proposal. Prior to Mike's proposal, Brie sought counsel from Kaia and Mel, confessing her lingering feelings for Brady but feeling guilty about deceiving Mike. In the end, her friends advised her to let both men go and move forward.

The morning after the wedding brings another twist for Vernon, as he receives a letter informing him that his license has been suspended pending an investigation. Suspecting a personal vendetta, he finds himself at a crossroads. Meanwhile, Hope bursts into the clinic, revealing that she received a tip from a woman at Grace Valley Hospital suggesting their intention to expand their network into Virgin River, effectively sidelining Vernon. It transpires that the hospital had long-planned to remove Vernon from the picture, but he vows to fight back.

Elsewhere, Jack and Mel awaken from a passionate and fulfilling night as newlyweds. Mel expresses concern for Charmaine's absence at the wedding and wonders if Calvin might have harmed her. Jack volunteers to check on her while allowing Mel to rest. As Mel rests, Marley visits her, expressing worry that Phil and Darla might be backing out of the adoption. Marley then asks Mel if she would consider adopting her child instead.

Jack, meanwhile, arrives at Charmaine's house to find the door unlocked. Inside, signs of a struggle are evident, and a lullaby emanates from one of the rooms. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with Jack left shocked by the revelation behind the closed door.
