Who Killed Sara? – Season 2 Episode 1 1

This jolting prologue segues into the present, where Alex stumbles upon the journal, a revelation that sends his world spinning—Sara's sanity, he realizes, may have been a fragile construct. Embedded within the journal's pages is a cryptic reference to a physician, whose consultation Alex promptly seeks.

The doctor's frankness is a dagger to the heart; he divulges Sara's schizophrenia, a genetic malady that appears to have been etched into her DNA. He labels her a sociopath, fueling Alex's darkest fears that she might indeed be capable of murder. As a compassionate gesture, the doctor entrusts him with Sara's medical records, a potential treasure trove of clues that could unravel the mystery.

Sara's descent into madness, it seems, began on her sixth birthday, when amidst the joyous chaos of children playing, she stood emotionless, clutching a rock with sinister intent, ready to strike. Lucia's intervention spared a child, but it marked the dawn of a darker era for Sara.

As she matured into adolescence, Sara's rebellion took a sinister turn, embracing hard drugs as a twisted coping mechanism. These substances only served to amplify her symptoms, a dark parallel to her entanglement with Rodolfo, Alex, and their circle. At their abode, Sara witnesses Nicandro indulging in illicit substances, his snorting sessions a stark contrast to her own resolve. Yet, her hesitance masks a lingering curiosity that hints at a potential weakness.

Another flashback delves into the depths of Sara's troubled past, revealing a father vastly different from Alex's own—a man marred by physical abuse, now incarcerated. This grim revelation casts light on the origins of Sara's demons, a legacy she bears alone.

Alex, consumed by his quest for truth, finds solace with Elisa. He confides in her about the parachute, its sinister sabotage by a member of her family. The specter of Elroy looms large, but Alex's meticulous deduction rules him out, memories of Nicandro's timely arrival flashing through his mind like a neon sign. The hunt for the truth, it seems, has just begun anew.

The unearthed corpse stands as a pivotal clue, propelling the investigation forward. As the police delve into the mystery, Alex endeavors to establish contact with Diana the Huntress, a facade for Marifer in reality. His efforts prove futile, leading him to confront Rodolfo, who confesses his affection for Sara and denies any harm to her. Irritated by Alex's implication, Rodolfo dismisses him with a stern warning.

Alex's impatience escalates when he learns that the forensic analysis of the body is plodding along at a snail's pace, unable to discern the gender of the bones. Meanwhile, Cesar guides Sergio into an abandoned fairground, where the once-dormant lights suddenly flare to life, accompanied by the ominous gaze of a hovering drone.

Armed with this incriminating footage, Alex issues an ultimatum: he threatens to expose it all to the police unless Cesar breaks his silence and confesses the truth. Cesar, unfazed, takes swift action, shooting the drone out of the sky, drawing Alex out of hiding. Grasping Cesar from behind, Alex demands to know the identity of the person buried in his backyard, his voice laced with urgency.

Realizing the game is up, Alex flees, hastily planting explosives throughout the fairground as he goes. But fate intervenes when Elisa, heedless of danger, sprints towards the amusement rides, her path intersecting with the imminent blast. The streets echo with her footsteps, only to be silenced by the deafening roar of the explosion.
