As the narrative shifts back to the present, Sara's world is turned upside down as she realizes that Marifer, whom she cherished as her dearest friend, is in fact her long-lost sister. This revelation echoes through the chambers of her heart, echoing the depth of her emotions.

Meanwhile, Cesar and Alex embark on a daring mission to liberate Elisa from her captivity. As they emerge into the open, Cesar remains steadfast, protecting Sergio with a precise shot to the leg, while Alex escorts Elisa to safety. In the heat of the moment, Cesar's emotions fray, allowing Sergio a fleeting chance to escape, hobbling towards a hidden stash of guns and cash. But Cesar's marksmanship is unwavering, striking Sergio dead center, and then stringing him up by his legs as a grim warning before departing.

The trio's journey continues, with Cesar and Alex driving off with Elisa in the backseat. A fleeting flashback reveals the chilling truth—Cesar's hand guided the bullet that ended Abel Martinez's life in the yard, a revelation that will hardly shock those privy to the series' intricate tapestry.

Alex's curiosity piques as he ponders over Sergio's photograph tucked beneath Abel's name, peeling back another layer of deceit. Sergio, too, was present that fateful rainy night, plucking Abel's identity from the corpse and assuming it as his own, a testament to the depths of his deceit.

As the hospital looms near, Cesar's farewell to Alex at a gas station is tinged with a sense of finality. The montage that follows paints a vivid portrait of each character's journey, culminating in a shocking revelation: Sofia, the enigmatic figure cloaked in a facemask and disguised as a hospital worker, stands as a pivotal player in this game of deceit and betrayal.

As she stealthily exits, clutching the baby close, Mariana is accompanied by Rodolfo and Bruno, both already present, waiting anxiously for her. They're determined to prevent Mariana from whisking her child away on a private jet, flying far from their reach.

Back at their base, Nicandro makes a surprise appearance, having received Alex's urgent message about Marifer's true identity. This time, he arrives armed with even more revealing information, complete with photographs procured by Elroy. It transpires that Sara and Nicandro once shared a sordid past in the drug trade, but when he demanded repayment of her debts, Sara turned violent, attempting to silence him forever. Recognizing her volatile nature, he eventually found himself betrayed by her, who ratted him out to the authorities, leaving him furious and abandoned. However, it wasn't Nicandro who severed the parachute straps that fateful day.

Deeply rooted in suspicion, Nicandro's parents believed the faulty chute was intended for their son, which explains his lengthy disappearance. As Alex peruses the photographs, his eye catches a distant glimpse of Marifer, observing the group from afar. Unbeknownst to him, Sara had already confronted her, inquiring about her sister's mysterious actions.

Shifting gears to the present, Nicandro convinces Alex that they share a common goal: uncovering Sara's killer. With this pretext, he sneaks into Sara's room, leaving Alex to deduce a stunning revelation – Marifer is none other than Diana the Huntress. Calling her out on it, Marifer is stunned into silence, hastily shutting down her laptop and ignoring Alex's calls.

Elsewhere, Chema is consumed by grief over Lorenzo's death, while Rodolfo returns to confront his brother. Chema racks his conscience, blaming himself for Moncho's fate, wishing he had refused the surrogacy arrangement and averted the tragedy.

But Rodolfo harbors a different grudge. He fingers Alex as the culprit and vows to stop him at all costs. Chema is taken aback, urging his brother to shed his father's vengeful ways and see reason.

Meanwhile, Clara stirs up a tempest, confronting Mariana and accusing her of being coerced into surrogacy.

As the episode draws to a cliffhanger, Alex checks on Nicandro in Sara's room, where he holds the golden statue that once belonged to him. With a sarcastic chuckle, he inspects its interior and discovers a tape labeled "Abel," igniting a fresh wave of intrigue and suspicion.
