In the second installment of Wilderness, Liv and Will embark on a journey fraught with hidden intentions. Through Liv's silent musings, it becomes evident that she is harboring a scheme of revenge. Suddenly, Cara, the woman entangled in a secret affair with Will, appears on the scene, accompanied by her boyfriend Garth. Will casually introduces Cara as his junior, but Liv knows the truth. This revelation prompts Cara and Garth to extend an invitation to Liv and Will to join them on a planned hiking trip. Initially, Will declines, but Liv, with her persuasive charm, convinces him to tag along.
The narrative shifts back in time, revealing a two-week snapshot of Liv's meticulous plotting. It turns out that Liv knows Cara's every move, having stalked her relentlessly. She shadows Cara's every step, from her morning jogs to salon appointments and clandestine club meetings. At one point, she boldly interrupts a rendezvous at a hotel, determined to prevent her husband's infidelity.
The situation quickly spirals out of control. Will sustains an injury to his foot, and soon after, they find themselves stranded without their car keys, which lead to its theft. In a stroke of luck, they stumble upon Cara and Garth, who offer them a lift. The quartet ends up at the same hotel, where Liv's passive-aggressive behavior becomes increasingly apparent to Will.
Later that evening, the tension reaches a boiling point when Liv confronts Cara about her affair with her husband. Cara offers a muted apology, but it's too late to mend the rift. The confrontation leads to a heated argument between Liv and Will, and Liv retreats to her room, where she drowns her sorrows in alcohol until she collapses on the floor. Meanwhile, Will finds himself unexpectedly reunited with Cara.
As the episode draws to a close, Liv stirs from her drunken stupor. She stumbles upon Will's phone and peruses his messages, discovering that he and Cara are secretly meeting at the waterfall. Fueled by rage, she makes a beeline for the falls. Upon spying a figure dressed in red, she lunges forward, pushing the unsuspecting individual off the cliff into the raging waters below.
