Will Trent – Season 2 Episode 6 1

Amanda informs the team of the somber news: Judge Ringgold has passed away. She joins Angie in the car, where the judge's body lies in the backseat, yet Angie finds herself more engrossed in hearing about Will's meeting with his uncle than discussing the grim circumstances of the case.

Upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that the judge was shot elsewhere and subsequently placed in the car. The discovery of hair fibers on her neck hints at a recent embrace, adding an emotional layer to the investigation. Will's curiosity is piqued by a stamp on her hand and the mysteries surrounding her final hours.

The team manages to trace her phone, but their progress is impeded by a throng of reporters. Amanda grows increasingly frustrated while awaiting Faith, who is engaged in conversation with Luke.

Upon reaching the building, Faith discovers traces of blood, and Will notices the venue's club-like atmosphere. The drag queens present mistake Will and Angie for authorities responding to recent harassment incidents. To everyone's astonishment, it transpires that one of the drag queens, Gabe, is actually the judge's son, introducing a twist that complicates the already intricate narrative of the judge's untimely demise.

The intricacy of the situation deepened when wig fibers and a blood-stained scarf were discovered, despite Bon Bon Chiffon's vehement denial of wearing tacky wigs. Engaging in conversation with Judge Ringgold's family only served to entangle the matters further. Her newlywed spouse harbored contempt for Gabe, believing his homosexuality brought disgrace upon their lives. Gabe recounted being ostracized from his family as a teenager and revealed that, despite years of estrangement, his mother had sought him out that very night to mend fences. Meanwhile, his sister, Rowen, appeared wrought with emotion yet coveted their mother's jewelry.

Amanda's fury erupted when she caught Faith and Luke holding hands at work, prompting Faith to accuse her of harassment and attempt to report her actions. Ormewood diffused the escalating spat by presenting footage of a protester assaulting the judge. The next day, Faith and Det. Ormewood tracked down the protestor outside the club, where he lambasted it for corrupting the youth. Glinda and Bon Bon initiated taping him, but his irritation escalated; he insisted on his rights and hurled an object, shattering Faith's windshield.

At the precinct, Det. Ormewood adopted a conciliatory stance, promising to expunge the video. His goodwill tactic bore fruit as the protestor, Barrett, confessed to making bomb threats against the club, leading to Faith's arrest of him on additional charges. Angie and Will returned to the club to learn that the judge had entrusted Gabe with her jewelry, thereby clearing him of suspicion. Back at the precinct, Faith, Angie, and Det. Ormewood found it peculiar that the judge had abruptly reversed her decision, which they learned occurred after she narrowly escaped a fatal car accident.

Will reunites with his uncle, and soon after, his friends also join their company, individuals who harbor a distinct dislike for law enforcement. Recalling his youth, Will mentions how, as a child, he found solace in having the police keep an eye out for him. Meanwhile, Detective Ormewood returns to the precinct accompanied by Cooper, just as Gabe bumbles in to confess his involvement. Angie and Faith swiftly discern the inconsistencies in his narrative, understanding that his true intent was to shield his sister, Rowen.

Concurrently, they locate Rowen at the club, where an intense scene unfolds: Barrett has a knife pressed against Glinda's throat. Will and Angie, with words of reassurance, convince Rowen that she is not alone, persuading her to lay down her gun while Detective Ormewood and Faith confront Barrett. Earlier, Cooper had insisted her father host a potluck, dragging Angie and Nico into convincing Will to attend. Nico went a step further, urging Will to bring along his uncle, unknowingly setting the stage for this dramatic confrontation.
