Will Trent – Season 4 Episode 1 1

That evening, Trent and Nico have dinner at Caleb's house, where Galvin, Trent's little stepbrother, bores him with fascinating information about sharks. Meanwhile, Ulster finds a new prisoner to manipulate. He and Reed plan and execute a prison break together. At the hospital, Faith and Franklin keep Ormewood company as he continues to recover from his brain surgery. Elsewhere, Angie and Seth enjoy their night, picking a color for their baby's nursery.

The following morning, news of Ulster's escape reaches the GBI desk. Trent is shocked to get to the office and find Caleb in charge of the case. He goes to complain to the acting deputy director and learns that he is not even on the case. Trent loses his control, and Amanda shows up to clear the misunderstanding. It turns out she was the one who put Trent off the case since she is worried he is too close to it. Trent refuses to give up on the case. Faith recruits Ormewood to help them work the case on the down low. Ormewood agrees to help even though he knows the two were kicked out of the case. It turns out there is a GBI group chat that Trent is not a part of.

Angie barges into Ormewood's office to complain about the protection unit Trent put on her. Franklin joins the group to find a snack, and together they decide to work secretly on the case. Trent and Faith call all the people Ulster helped when he was a reputable lawyer. Ormewood finds a guy called Sal who owns a steakhouse around the roadblocks. The scene cuts to Ulster and Reed enjoying steak at Sal's restaurant with dead bodies lying all around them. Trent calls Sal, and Ulster picks up the phone. Ulster refuses to surrender and asks Trent to consider letting him be. He hints that Reed actually hurt people at the restaurant. As they talk, Trent and Faith make their way to the restaurant.

The next morning, Angie and Seth embarked on a quest to name their offspring, with Seth offering a suggestion that Angie readily accepted. Meanwhile, at Sal's restaurant, Trent and Faith attempted to rehash the events preceding the marshals' arrival. Trent's mental acuity led him to the revelation that Ulster was the perpetrator behind the deadly scene. He theorized that Ulster was on a quest for something but had failed to find it. During this introspection, Trent's internal monologue painted a vivid picture of Ulster's presence in his mind. Just as they were about to leave, a courier arrived, revealing that Ulster had been searching for his fake passport and money, but the delivery had been delayed.

Meanwhile, Franklin and Ormewood celebrated Angie's engagement, urging her to keep it a secret from Trent. Angie felt a sense of guilt for moving forward and finding happiness. The trio then focused their attention on the case, with Ormewood uncovering the fact that Ulster had been dating Janice while in prison. They decided to stake out her house, anticipating a juicy catfight. To their surprise, they discovered that Ulster was not only involved with Janice but also had another lover, Lisa. The trio brought in both women for questioning, hoping to glean some insight into Ulster's plans.

After leaving the restaurant, Trent and Faith paid a visit to the nursing home to check if Reed had visited his grandmother. They found him there, and Reed tried to escape, holding Trent at gunpoint. Trent tried to reason with him, but just as he was making progress, Caleb arrived and killed Reed. Once again, Trent lashed out, despite Caleb's efforts to protect him.

A while later, Amanda and the acting deputy director arrived, finding everyone in various emotional states. Appleyard reminded Trent that he was not even officially involved in the case. Caleb received a clue about Ulster's next move and left. Amanda tried to calm Trent down while Appleyard dealt with the press.

Though Amanda yearns for Trent to be beyond Ulster's grasp, her disagreement with Appleyard clouds her thoughts. She confides to Faith that she's terrified of losing Trent. Faith adds that Trent is teetering on the edge, and not pursuing the case might be the catalyst for his downfall. At the station, Franklin施展他的魔力to obtain all the tea from Janice and Lisa. Once Janice realizes that Ulster is a formidable adversary, playing with her heart, she opens up. She tells Franklin that Ulster was initially dating her sister, Jackie, before she broke them up. By the time the police reach Jackie, it's too late. Ulster had already killed her and fled.

Trent and Angie identify her body at the coroner's office. He congratulates Angie on her engagement, and she tries to persuade him not to chase Ulster. Trent refuses to give up, stating that Ulster created his circumstances and he intends to end them for good. He admits that Ulster is entrenched in his mind.

Later, Ulster calls Trent and reveals that he's holding Calvin hostage, seeking revenge on Caleb for killing Reed, whom he considered his son. Trent switches places with Calvin and departs with Ulster. By the time the team realizes that Trent is in danger, it's too late. Ulster stages their deaths to create the perfect escape plan. The episode ends with Faith returning Calvin home. They receive a call about a possible sighting of Trent's burning car. Amanda is already on site when Faith and Caleb arrive. She informs Faith that they found two bodies and asks her to identify a burnt tape recorder. Faith claims it belongs to Trent, and they all assume the worst.
