Will Trent – Season 4 Episode 10 1

Meanwhile, Angie and Seth attend a baby safety class led by a vengeful instructor who instills fear in them, suggesting that they are on the verge of murdering their own child at every unexpected turn.

Elsewhere, Trent meets with the college chancellor, Bixby, to inquire about Paxton, who was the president of the Delta Chi Kappa fraternity. Bixby’s uncooperative demeanor and nonchalant attitude infuriate Trent.

As Angie joins Faith, Ormewood, and Franklin on their way to the frat house, they encounter a group of boys cleaning the floor with toothbrushes. Refusing to acknowledge their presence, the boys are forced to reveal their police status. Upon hearing this, one of the boys explains that Paxton is not there. Another boy appears and chastises the pledge for talking, forcing him to use a dirty toothbrush to clean his mouth. Furious at this treatment, Angie threatens to take the boys to the station for hazing and reveals that Paxton is dead.

The leader, Sean, aka Legacy, invites them inside. There, they encounter Griffin, who tries to avoid them. Faith brings him to the station for interrogation. It turns out that Griffin has been selling fake IDs to college students, a federal crime. Faith reminds him of this fact, and Griffin admits that he last saw Paxton and another boy, Greg, leaving a party to get more beer.

Everyone back at the frat house pretty much says the same thing: Greg and Paxton were best friends, and no one has seen them since they left the party. Angie uses her pregnancy to get close to Sean, who finally opens up about the viral sextape that Paxton shared about a girl named Brit. The scene unfolds with tension and suspense, painting a vivid picture of the investigation and its consequences.

Angie ventures into the Beta Lota Theta sorority house to interview Brit. She candidly admits that she wasn't fond of Paxton for his actions, but she didn't commit the crime. She was paid a substantial sum of money and signed an NDA to drop the matter. After answering Angie's questions, Brit leaves abruptly.

As Angie exits, a group of sorority girls approaches her and spills the beans on the DK fraternity's misdeeds. According to them, the boys are untouchable since Chancellor Bixby is Sean's father. He allegedly clears their records and covers their tracks.

At the station, Faith and Trent arrive at the same conclusion that Bixby is up to something. Just then, Caroline drops a letter from Malcolm to Faith. Trent enquires about it, but Faith avoids the question. She receives a message about the victim's car, which was left at the beer depot. They drive there to find two sets of clothes, the car, and Greg's body hidden in the ice storage.

Around his mouth, they find tape with the words 'fortitude' written on it. They call Ormewood and Franklin, who realize that those are the same words written on the DK fraternity house walls. It dawns on them that the murders are not over yet.

In the evening, Angie finds Seth in a panic in the nursing room. She reassures him that they will figure things out and become great parents. To distract him, Angie mentions a lecture on human parasitism. She suggests that he attend it.

The following morning, Angie, Ormewood, and Faith report to Pete at the morgue. He informs them that he found gold speckles from the Golderkranz drinks. Angie and Faith interview the girls from the sorority at the station. They let it slip that about a year ago, another kid died after a wild night at a DK party.

It turns out that Trent is with Bixby, who is still giving him an attitude. He refuses to admit that he cleans up after the DK fraternity. Angie calls him and suggests he ask about the death of Barry Evers. Bixby claims that Barry got intoxicated and lost in the woods after a party. He calls it a terrible accident and insists that it has nothing to do with the recent murders.

Feeling frustrated, Trent asks more questions, causing Bixby to lash out. Trent decides it's time to exhume Barry's body. Later, Seth drops by his office and helps him find his lost cuffs. He invites Trent to a lecture on human parasitism and implies they need to get along better for the baby and Angie. Trent agrees and promises to attend the lecture with him. Pete interrupts, and Trent asks Seth to join them at the mortuary to see what Pete learned after Barry's exhumation.

As expected, Barry's body reveals he died from hypothermia, but not in the circumstances that Bixby claimed. It seems he was walking naked and barefoot in the cold forest. Pete also adds that Barry's mouth was taped shut at the time of his death. Lastly, he found gold flakes in his stomach. All evidence proves that Barry was murdered and Bixby covered it up. This means that the killer knew exactly what happened to Barry and is recreating it.

Trent also finds a note in Barry's funeral suit, and they link it to Brit. Amanda asks them to arrest Brit before she kills anyone. They assume that Brit might have been close to Barry, and the leaked sex tape triggered her to exact revenge. They head back to the college to arrest Brit and get Sean and Griffin for a follow-up interview. Angie remains behind at the fraternity house and finds pictures of Sean and Barry together. She realizes the two were dating, and Sean is the killer.

At the same time, Franklin and Ormewood discover Brit buried alive in the woods. At the house, Angie finds Sean ready to burn the whole house down after tying Griffin to a chair. He admits that Paxton, Griffin, and others hazed Barry after he accidentally spilled a drink on Brit. She wanted vengeance, so they had Barry walk naked in the forest and left him there. The next morning, they found him dead and called Bixby, who covered everything up. Bixby said it was to protect their future and ordered his son Sean to forget about Barry.

Barry couldn't forget and blamed himself for not helping Barry. Thankfully, Angie talks him down and saves Griffin. Later, Trent informs Bixby that Sean is cutting ties with him. Bixby is shocked to learn that his son was the killer, and Trent reminds him that he went about securing Sean's future the wrong way.

Later, Amanda checks in on Faith, who reveals that she is questioning her job. She's not sure she can be a cop anymore. At Angie's house, Trent helps Seth finish setting up the nursery. Angie interrupts and informs them that she's ordering dinner for them.
