Inside, his friends eagerly anticipate his words, but they soon discern an oddity in his demeanor. As Sakura envisions himself once more on that treacherous tightrope, Umemiya's words echo in his mind, empowering him to release his grip on fear. With a heartfelt confession, he reveals to the entire class his struggle to rely on others and apologizes for his disarray.

Unexpectedly, in an unconscious mimicry of what many had silently wished for, Sugishita playfully, yet forcefully, nudges Sakura, sending him tumbling to the floor. Seizing this unexpected moment, the classmates vent their pent-up frustrations, Anzai among them being the most vocal. They are acutely aware of his clumsiness and impulsive decisions, yet they cherish his heartfelt efforts for everyone. His apology, therefore, feels misplaced among those who admire and trust him, even if he himself remains oblivious to their unwavering belief.

As his friends engage in lively discourse, Sakura finds himself transported to a radiant garden, freed from the confines of the rope. His colleagues, all present and beaming, eagerly await his arrival. At last, Sakura comprehends his true belonging. However, despite the intensity of their conversation, the boys' hunger eventually asserts control over their reason. Anzai disrupts the idyllic ambiance by insisting they venture out in search of sustenance, placing Sakura in the dilemma of selecting a destination. With an air of self-consciousness, he declares his desire for omurice, fearing it might be an ill-chosen option, yet to his surprise, everyone concurs.

Upon their arrival at Kotoha's restaurant, the boys indulge in sharing their culinary vulnerabilities. Swiftly, this becomes an opportunity to playfully tease Suou, who fabricates dislikes for various dishes. Meanwhile, Umemiya, Hiiragi, and a girl, who waves warmly at Sakura, watch their antics from afar.

On another occasion, Umemiya convenes all the students atop the roof, facilitating a gathering where they can mingle and converse freely. Additionally, he takes pride in showcasing his plants, a matter of great significance to him. It is here that Sakura encounters the girl once more, who approaches him with animated enthusiasm. Yet, upon recognizing her husky voice, he realizes with astonishment that she is one of Bofurin's Four Heavenly Kings—Tsubakino, a man despite his skirt, makeup, and lipstick. Initially perplexed, Sakura swiftly embraces Tsubaki's identity, which brings him joy.

In turn, Tsubaki expresses admiration for Sakura's appearance, a compliment he may have never received before.

Umemiya enthusiastically invites everyone to savor his renowned pork soup, a dish so alluring that it catches Tsubaki's undivided attention. He heaps praises upon the culinary delight, expressing to Ume again and again how he is falling in love—this time with the meal itself, albeit his words carry a hint of playful double meaning. Sakura, overhearing this exchange, finds his cheeks blazing crimson, his entire face flushed with embarrassment. The mere mention or sight of romance always has this effect on him. Suddenly, Tsubaki recollects that he has other commitments to attend to. Yet, before bidding farewell, he locks eyes with Sakura for an extended moment, his gaze loaded with intention, and boldly extends an invitation for a date.
