XO, Kitty – Season 2 Episode 1 1

Reunited, the gang is back, yet an uneasy tension lingers between Kitty and Min-ho, a residual effect from their unresolved cliffhanger in the previous season. Similarly, Dae still harbors feelings for Kitty and blames himself for the strained dynamics between Min-ho and her.

On a different note, Yuri and Juliana have reconciled and spring a surprise on Kitty by announcing their plan to share a dorm room. Hoping for a solitary space, Kitty is met with a surge of bottled-up emotions upon seeing Yuri. Realizing she's embarked on a journey filled with nightmarish visions of her crush, Yuri, being affectionate with his girlfriend in their shared living space, she's further disheartened by the introduction of a fourth roommate, Stella, who fails to alleviate the situation.

With no viable alternative, Kitty approaches Principal Lee, pleading for a room change, asserting that cohabitating with a friend would detract from her primary goal of academic devotion. He reassuringly agrees to look into it. Additionally, she inquiries about Simon, a friend of her mother's, weaving another layer of intrigue into her narrative.

Thanks to his donation to the Arts programme, he will be sticking around to launch a performing arts programme at the school. He is a big talent manager and everyone except Min-ho is excited to get a chance to be part of his new programme, which might give them a chance at stardom.

During the barbecue dinner, Dae asks Kitty to talk to Min-ho, as he thinks he is responsible for their awkwardness. Min-ho acts like he is over Kitty, and it was never that serious. He claims he is over it but questions if there might be a chance that Kitty likes him since she smiled after her confession.

As the dinner progresses, Yuri gives a touching speech about how glad she is she made a second family at K.I.S.S. The speech makes Kitty change her mind about switching rooms. She deludes herself to think she can be just friends with Yuri. When she confesses to Yuri that she is Bi, the latter is supportive and shares that her parents have not been supportive after she came out.

Following the delightful barbecue dinner, Kitty initiates a video call to her beloved grandmother. However, the conversation takes a sour turn when Kitty mentions Eve's relocation to Korea, prompting Grandma to abruptly end the call. This unexpected disconnection piques Kitty's curiosity further, fueling her desire to uncover the secrets her grandmother seems keen on keeping hidden.

As the episode draws to a close, Stella reveals her burgeoning interest in Min-ho, prompting Kitty to generously share his phone number with her. Yet, a mysterious phone call received by Stella hints at the possibility that she might not be entirely truthful about her identity.
