Episode 7 of Season 2 of "XO Kitty" kicks off with Kitty immersed in a vivid dream where Min-ho reveals, amidst the comfort of her bed, that she had been right about Stella. The tender moment, teetering on the brink of a passionate kiss, is abruptly shattered by Stella's unexpected intrusion, jolting Kitty awake.
Kitty confides in Q about her scorching dream, prompting him to inquire if she harbors feelings for Min-ho. She swiftly denies it, asserting that she merely misses their former camaraderie since their fallout. Their conversation unveils a playful disconnect, as Kitty pretends indifference towards prom proposals, yet covertly assists Jin in orchestrating one for Q.
As prom looms on the horizon, Kitty finds herself feeling excluded, with no invitation in sight. Her jealousy ignites as she observes Min-ho's elaborate prom proposal to Stella. Despite her attempts to suppress it, her envy is palpable. Nevertheless, she redirects her focus to a familial reunion.
During a meet-up with Ji-won, Kitty learns that Halmoni is irate over her grandmother's abrupt departure, leaving Ji-won with the weight of caring for their aging parents. Together, Ji-won and Kitty devise a strategy to reconcile the estranged sisters.
With the semester's end and a fierce contest looming, Mr. Moon declares that the winner will also serve as the opening act for Joon-ho's summer tour. During a class focused on media training, students face a test, leaving Dae increasingly anxious. Kitty reassures him, vowing to support him through it. Among the probing questions, Dae is grilled about his dating life, leading Min-ho to suggest he fabricate his relationship status to placate his fans.
This counsel complicates Dae's relationship with Eunice further. Yuri's influence adds to his turmoil during a shopping trip. Dae's anxiety intensifies, worried about competing against his girlfriend in the contest.
Post-class, Kitty and Min-ho clash again. Min-ho insists that Kitty apologize and acknowledge her mistake about Stella. Kitty stands her ground, refusing to budge. As they exit the classroom, Stella intercepts Min-ho, expressing her interest in joining the contest. However, it's past the deadline, so she asks Min-ho to intervene with his father on her behalf.
Later, Q confides in Min-ho that Kitty is plotting to confront her grandmother, Halmoni, in the bustling market. Although Min-ho deems it a reckless endeavor, he dashes off to lend a hand. Fortunately, Halmoni is more receptive to Kitty this instance. She unburdens herself upon realizing that Eve and her sister had intended to visit Korea years prior. She confesses her betrayal of her sister by eloping with Kitty's grandfather, whom she was technically betrothed to another. Once Halmoni surrendered her to their parents, they rejected her, prompting her exile from the country. Halmoni berates herself for exposing the truth and forcing her sister into exile.
On her return journey, Kitty catches sight of Stella stepping into a cybercafe. She hastily dials Juliana, asserting her readiness to catch Stella in the act. However, Stella outwits her, creating the semblance of a video call with her youth church group. Kitty ends up with a pang of guilt, doubting her accusations against Stella. Unbeknownst to Kitty, Stella eavesdrops on conversations held in Mr. Moon's office.
In the twilight hours, the students don their finest attire for the prom. At the gala, Dae and Eunice clash over differing accounts of their relationship. Meanwhile, Yuri and Juliana share an intimate moment amidst the beverages.
Meanwhile, Kitty admits to Q that she might have misjudged Stella. When Min-ho arrives, she apologizes to him, and they reconcile. However, Stella's stunning entrance disrupts their tender moment. She seems to have abandoned her church-girl image, embracing a new superstar persona ready to conquer the world. As Min-ho dances with her, he recalls Kitty's words about Stella's name and appearance change.
The truth dawns upon him, and he repeats one of Stella's explosive lines. Stella realizes her masquerade is exposed and bluntly threatens Min-ho. She clarifies that her initial intent was to ruin Mr. Moon, but now her aspiration is stardom. If Min-ho fails to cooperate, she will unveil Joon-ho's secret and frame Kitty for the Moonleaks scandal. To shield his family and Kitty, Min-ho reluctantly agrees to her deceit.
