Episode 6 of Season 2 of "XO Kitty" kicks off with the gang embarking on a visit to Dae's father in the hospital, where the elder Dae imposes a heartfelt plea on Min-ho: to ensure Dae remains focused solely on his studies and refrains from taking up any side jobs. Though Dae remains distant towards Min-ho, the latter agrees to uphold this promise.
Elsewhere, Kitty stands at the precipice of abandoning her efforts to reconnect with Cousin Jiwon, as two weeks have passed without a single response. Her silence also extends to Yuri, as Kitty's mind is burdened with numerous thoughts. Fortunately, Peter's arrival in town serves as a beacon of hope for her. She guides him through the vibrant campus, deliberately steering clear of the dormitory to prevent an encounter with Stella. Their journey continues to a bustling school supply store, where an unexpected encounter with Min-ho unfolds. Min-ho attempts to mask his jealousy as Kitty introduces him to Peter, but Peter, perceptive as ever, notifies Kitty of Min-ho's lingering affections for her. Kitty, however, remains steadfast in her denial, insisting that Min-ho has found happiness with Stella.
As days turn into a blur, Kitty receives a letter from Jiwon, discovered amidst her father's belongings. The letter hints at Eve's long-lost plan to embark on a journey to Korea with Kitty, aged three, to reunite their fractured family. Thrilled by this revelation, Kitty eagerly reaches out to Yuri, sharing the exciting update.
In a parallel narrative, Dae inquiries about the availability of Teaching Assistant positions from Principal Lee, with Min-ho eavesdropping on the conversation. Unfortunately, due to the financial constraints following the Moonleaks scandal, there are no openings. Min-ho offers his assistance to Dae, who politely declines. Meanwhile, Mr. Moon returns to campus, emerging from the Moonleaks crisis, and informs Min-ho about a dinner gathering he's organizing with his top students to deliberate on the future of the Moon Arts Program.
As the regionals draw nearer, Jin's anxiety about his father's visit intensifies. Tragically, an injury sidelines him from participating in the regionals, causing friction in his bond with Q, who is performing in peak condition.
At Mr. Moon's sumptuous dinner gathering, Stella and Min-ho presented him with an antique clock, a gesture that deeply moved him. This heartfelt moment led to an intimate conversation between Mr. Moon and Min-ho, where the father apologized for his past shortcomings and vowed to improve as a dad. Additionally, he opened up about his concerns for his other son, Joon-ho, who had impregnated his backup dancer and was contemplating quitting his dreams.
Meanwhile, Kitty kept a vigilant eye on Stella, uncovering a clue that hinted at Stella's true identity. Elsewhere, Yuri reached out to Jiwon before the party, hoping to lend a hand to Kitty in her quest. During the dinner, Mr. Moon made a groundbreaking announcement: he intended to transform the end-of-semester contest into a grand, globally streamed reality show, with the winner receiving both monetary rewards and a recording contract. However, this competition would be a solo affair, meaning Dae and Eunice would have to part ways.
Stella's demeanor darkened when Mr. Moon mentioned one of his previous reality singing shows. She flatly refused to participate in the karaoke session, looking distinctly unwell at the mere thought of singing. Min-ho approached Dae once more, offering to assist him with his performance, which ultimately led to Dae granting him forgiveness.
After the dinner, Kitty embarked on an online sleuthing mission to uncover more about Stella and understand why she had nearly choked when Mr. Moon had brought up the old reality singing contest. The following day, she attempted to confide in Min-ho about Stella's true identity, presenting him with a video of a young Stella, known then as Esther, auditioning for his father's talent show. Despite her exceptional voice, Mr. Moon had rejected her due to her appearance, and her subsequent outburst had gone viral, becoming an internet meme. Kitty was convinced that Stella was seeking revenge.
Regrettably, Min-ho shut his ears to Kitty's revelations, accusing her of being jealous and attempting to sabotage his happiness out of spite for breaking his heart. Kitty was taken aback by Min-ho's accusation. She insisted that she had only been looking out for him. Following her heated exchange with Min-ho, Kitty unburdened herself to Peter, who encouraged her to stop doubting herself and to continue protecting those she cared about.
The scene shifts to Stella, hidden away in a cybercafé, eavesdropping on a conversation between Min-ho and Mr. Moon in his office. Unsurprisingly, she had cleverly planted a recorder inside the antique watch she had gifted to Mr. Moon.
