The sixth episode of "You and Everything Else" commences with Sang-yeon and Sang-hak sitting in companionable silence, their conversation filled with the weight of unspoken truths. Sang-hak, with a hint of a guilty conscience, confesses to knowing the identity of the woman in the photograph, a girl they'd nicknamed "Dylan." She, too, belongs to the Photo Club, and Sang-hak agrees to reach out to her on Sang-yeon's behalf.
Back at home, Eun-jung tries to bridge the emotional gap between herself and Sang-yeon, but the latter remains cold and distant. The rift between them continues to widen as Eun-jung becomes increasingly concerned about the unknown aspects of Sang-hak and Sang-yeon's lives she has yet to discover, while Sang-yeon grows more resentful and jealous of Eun-jung's relationship with the man she has fallen for.
Sang-hak drops off a pair of movies for Sang-yeon, including two VHS tapes that inspired their online usernames in the chatroom. Sang-yeon, in a moment of vulnerability, admits that she sought out Sang-hak after their online interactions and snapped his photo in the gallery. She hints at a deeper need within her that she cannot fully articulate, but knows she cannot satisfy.
Meanwhile, Eun-jung's friend A-ra continues to act as a buffer, assuring her that she has confidence in her boyfriend and isn't bothered by his ties with Sang-yeon. Sang-yeon insists on keeping the chatroom drama between herself and Sang-hak, urging him not to involve Eun-jung. She also wants to keep the Dylan situation a secret between them. This puts Sang-hak in a difficult position, as he doesn't want to lie to his girlfriend but feels compelled to keep Sang-yeon's secrets.
Despite this, Eun-jung remains oblivious as she and Sang-hak continue their seemingly harmonious relationship. She even buys him camera parts, only for Sang-hak to reveal that the base won't allow him to bring anything other than watches inside. And guess what Sang-yeon got him? Yes, it was a watch. This seemingly innocuous gesture is indicative of Sang-yeon's cunning and forward thinking, perhaps foreshadowing her true intentions.
As Eun-jung was absent at a memorial, Sang-hak, on the eve of his return to base, stumbled upon Sang-yeon on the street. They joined forces, their path converging as they set out to speak with a contact who had known Cheon Sang-hak. They clicked well, sharing drinks and reminiscing about her brother's past, but their knowledge of this mysterious figure named Dylan was limited, at least for now.
Sang-hak and Sang-yeon spent most of the night in lively conversation, their banter interspersed with jokes that revolved heavily around her brother's memory. Sang-yeon was convinced that her brother had planned his suicide some time ago, and that the tapes he had gifted to Sang-hak were a deliberate act, while the camera (and its subsequent roll) were part of his final legacy for Eun-jung. As Sang-yeon walked her home, she confessed her undeniable affection for Sang-hak (though indirectly), and he gently advised her against it. Nonetheless, she expressed gratitude for his assistance in helping her out of her slump.
Eun-jung shared with Sang-hak about Sang-yeon's upcoming blind date, revealing that Sang-yeon had once had a first love from a chatroom – and that person was none other than Sang-hak himself. His smile was thinly veiled as he heard this revelation.
Through it all, Sang-hak honored Sang-yeon's request and kept their discussions to himself. But that didn't stop him from understanding the depth of Sang-yeon's affection for him.
Sang-hak leaves a heartfelt note for Sang-yeon, penned by "Uncle Tat", encased within a bundle of photographs bearing her brother's image. As Sang-yeon prepares for her blind date with a computer science major, her heart is not in it, and the evening unfolds in a disheartening manner. She broods over her brother and "Uncle Tat", ultimately deciding to send him a letter while he's away at the base. This act, along with Eun-jung's own correspondence, feels like a line being crossed.
Eun-jung is taken aback when she discovers Sang-hak has been penning letters to Sang-yeon as well, noticing a letter protruding from her postbox at college. The atmosphere at home becomes strained and awkward as a result of this revelation. Sang-yeon, however, brushes it off with a nonchalant "it's just a favor."
Sang-yeon persists in her quest to uncover the mystery of Dylan, eventually learning that the woman's name is Moon Ji-yeong. She desires to speak with Sang-hak before engaging with her, which poses a clear challenge. Eun-jung remains concerned throughout this ordeal, believing that both Sang-yeon and Sang-hak are treading on thin ice with their secretive and intimate nature. She becomes disenchanted and decides to give her boyfriend the silent treatment, refraining from visiting or speaking to him. When he eventually calls, he demands to know what's going on, and she admits to feeling uneasy and awkward about his secrets with Sang-yeon.
Sang-hak is torn between keeping her promise and ensuring her girlfriend's right to know if something is affecting their relationship. She eventually hangs up after telling him he's welcome to contact them at home. Eun-jung decides against mentioning the letters again, burying the situation until it naturally resurfaces during a conversation at the camera shop. When she learns about Sang-hak and Sang-yeon's past connection and exchanges (leading to Sang-yeon's obsessive crush in the chatroom), she decides to confront Sang-yeon. In the dimly lit home, she demands to know if Sang-yeon truly likes Sang-hak.
