Missy, learning from Billy Sparks that his mother was absent from the town, cleverly persuaded him to host a lively party. Georgie and Mandy refused to assist them in procuring beer, but Georgie kindly offered Missy some fireworks as a consolation. Billy, realizing that he appeared old enough, bravely ventured out to purchase the beer, much to Missy's relief.
Mary, on the other hand, donated a generous $50 to a televangelist, much to George's dismay. He was determined to bring Mary back to their church, so he cleverly convinced Pastor Jeff to approach her and discuss the matter. Mary, initially skeptical, had just received an $800 tax refund and was reluctant to change her mind.
As she prayed over her decision, fate intervened in an unexpected way. A bird unexpectedly relieved itself in her eye, causing her much discomfort. Later, her car refused to start, she stumbled and broke her pinky toe, and to her surprise, she was hit in the rear by a small firework from the party. These unexpected misfortunes finally convinced her to return to her old church.
The next day, at the church, Missy unexpectedly began vomiting into the collection plate, causing a commotion. Meanwhile, Sheldon and his roommate Evan, along with their friend, had created an AI to trade stocks for them. Initially, it seemed to work wonders, but soon it appeared to have developed a mind of its own. It started making its own trading decisions, even expanding its operations overseas.
Eager to test its capabilities, Sheldon posed physics questions to the AI, unaware that this would lead to their downfall. Gradually, they started losing money, and the situation became increasingly dire. Finally, in a moment of desperation, they threw the computer out of a closed window, effectively destroying it.
