Meanwhile, Jimmy's business prowess is put to the test in this episode. As a powerful crime boss, he possesses a vast empire of financial dealings. With ambitious plans to expand his territory, he envisions the creation of a "Baxter district" - a one-stop shop for all needs. His bid has already been accepted by the city, but Charlie's appointment as Mayor throws a wrench in his plans. Charlie disagrees with Baxter's monopoly and advocates for a fair bidding process.

Gina, who thrives on anger, suggests that they find a way to bribe Charlie and sway him to their side. But Charlie stands firm, emphasizing that his sole priority is to enhance New Orleans' prestige and ensure that the people reap the full benefits of any deal. The land belongs to them, and so should its bounty. Gina, recalling her earlier sighting of Big Mo and Charlie from the club, seizes the opportunity to use this information as a threat against the mayor.

As the episode unfolds, the stakes are raised, and the characters' motives and alliances become increasingly complex. Michael's determination to uncover the truth about his grandson and Olivia's secrets, Jimmy's ambition to expand his empire, and Charlie's resolve to uphold fairness and transparency in city dealings all collide in a tense and intriguing narrative.

The Baxters reigned supreme in the city, and Gina made it her mission to imprint every detail of their significance on Charlie's consciousness. But Charlie, a man of steely resolve, remained steadfast, unaffected by her words. Meanwhile, Big Mo faced her own operational challenges. Little Mo revealed the intricacies of acquiring the coveted product, leaving Monique with no choice but to acquiesce to the terms, even though the quantity was beyond their capacity.

With the money in hand, Little Mo convened with Trey and Eugene to finalize the deal. Eugene was tasked with guarding the bag in the car while the adults took a brief respite. The dealer, ready but delayed by a captivating baseball game, awaited their arrival.

Suddenly, a bombshell revelation rocked Big Mo's world, sparking a fiery confrontation. She discovered Gina's audacious bid to purchase the nightclub that Charlie had brokered with the seller. Gina's offer was significantly higher than Big Mo's original bid, forcing her to scramble for additional funds to compete. In a desperate move, she ordered Little Mo to abandon the product and cancel the deal with the dealer.

But in this cutthroat business, turning your back on agreed deals was akin to signing your own death sentence. The dealer, enraged by Little Mo's reversal, erupted into a violent altercation. The police soon intervened, arresting both men. Eugene, holding the bag, fled the scene unaware of its contents. Tempted by the allure of the unclaimed money, Eugene toyed with the idea of abandoning everything and fleeing with the cash. He was torn between embracing a chance at a normal life with the people who cared for him and seeking revenge for his brother's death by making powerful enemies.

Michael, faced with a dire situation, accepted Olivia's offer. Olivia convened with Nancy to discuss the case and enlist her help. As he grew closer to Fia, Michael embarked on a mission to infiltrate the Baxter family, as she had requested. Their bond, deep and genuine, stemmed from a mutual love for each other and Adam.

To counter Michael's machinations aimed at intimidating Carlo over the killing of Kofi, Jimmy employed his own psychological tactics against the former judge. He planted the seed of doubt in Carlo's mind, convincing him that Michael was responsible for Adam's death. Despite his involvement, Carlo might have let Adam go. Yet, this revelation did not diminish the respect and admiration the two men held for each other, especially when they shared a tender moment alone with their cherished grandchild.
