She courageously shared her fight with a cancerous growth, revealing that she underwent successful surgery and is now on a steady path to recovery. Ann Wilson, the powerful voice behind the legendary rock band Heart, has bravely disclosed her cancer diagnosis, announcing that the band's remaining Royal Flush Tour shows will be postponed as she undergoes treatment.

In a heartfelt statement released on Tuesday, Wilson revealed that she had undergone surgery to remove the cancerous growth and is making steady progress in her recovery. However, her doctors have advised her to undergo preventive chemotherapy and take a break from performing to ensure a complete recovery. As a result, the remaining North American tour dates have been rescheduled for 2025.

"To our devoted fans, I deeply apologize for any disappointment. I truly wanted to be on that stage with you all," Wilson said in the statement. "But please know that I am determined to return stronger and with all my heart in 2025. My team and I are working diligently to finalize the new dates, and we will share the details with you as soon as possible."

All tickets purchased for the postponed shows will remain valid, and the rescheduled dates will be announced in the coming weeks. "This is just a temporary pause," Wilson continued, "I have so many more songs to sing, and I look forward to sharing them with you all again."

The postponement affects over 50 shows across stadiums and arenas in numerous cities in the U.S. and Canada. The band, led by the dynamic duo of Ann and her sister Nancy Wilson on guitar, had previously canceled the European leg of their tour in May due to a necessary medical procedure that required six weeks of recovery time.

At the time of the European cancellation, Ann posted a reassuring message on Instagram, stating, "I'm okay, everyone. Please don't worry. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but I assure you, it's just as inconvenient for me."

The Wilson sisters, renowned for their hits like "Magic Man," "Crazy on You," and "Alone," formed Heart in 1973 and have since become legends in the rock world. The band was recently honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy, further testament to their indelible mark on music history.
