Beth Behrs is reminiscing about her journey on 'The Neighborhood' and expresses her profound "gratitude" to CBS for granting the sitcom a final curtain call, allowing for a fitting farewell—a luxury denied to '2 Broke Girls.' This heartfelt reflection stems from the network's recent decision to renew the comedy, which also stars Max Greenfield, Tichina Arnold, and Cedric the Entertainer, for its eighth and ultimate season.

"My twenties were largely defined by '2 Broke Girls,' while the bulk of my thirties unfolded within the confines of 'The Neighborhood,' and now, as we embark on the conclusion of our tale, I'm stepping into my forties," Behrs emotionally penned on Instagram. "Kat Dennings and I were never afforded a proper goodbye or a definitive end to our '2 Broke Girls' saga, so I'm incredibly thankful to CBS for affording us the opportunity to bid adieu to Gemma with dignity and closure."

Dennings, in turn, responded with enthusiasm, exclamation marks flying: "WOOOO!!! Go Beth!!!!"

Prior to her role in 'The Neighborhood,' Behrs shone on another CBS sitcom, '2 Broke Girls,' alongside Kat Dennings. Created by Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings, the series spanned six seasons before being axed in 2017. Behrs portrayed Caroline Channing, a woman reduced to waiting tables after her father's Ponzi scheme left her penniless.

Reflecting on her seven-year tenure on 'The Neighborhood,' Behrs highlighted that these years have etched "some of the most unforgettable memories of my life." "We've weathered Covid, strikes, elections... and emerged even stronger," she added. "I'm eternally grateful to our entire cast and crew. Here's to the best season yet—let's make Season 8 a blast!"
