Billie Eilish Becomes the 3rd and Youngest Artist to Reach 100M Monthly Spotify Listeners

Amidst the vast landscape of music icons, only a select few have scaled the lofty heights of 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Among these illustrious few, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift reign supreme. But now, a new star has emerged, shining brightly with her own unique brilliance. Billie Eilish has shattered records and rewritten history, becoming the third artist to cross this momentous milestone on the audio streaming giant.

What's even more remarkable is that Eilish achieved this feat with a mere 82 songs in her discography, a testament to the sheer power of her musical genius. She follows closely in the footsteps of The Weeknd, boasting 107 million monthly listeners, and Taylor Swift, with a whopping 102 million. However, both these veterans boast a Spotify catalog more than double that of the youthful "Lunch" singer.

At just 22 years old, Eilish has become the youngest artist to ever reach the coveted 100 million monthly listener mark. "Spotify has been a constant companion in Billie's journey from the very beginning," shared Jeremy Erlich, Spotify's global head of music. "Since 'Ocean Eyes,' she has captivated hearts worldwide, growing her fan base with each passing day. What she and her brother-collaborator Finneas have accomplished since 2016 is nothing short of phenomenal... and all this, at the tender age of 22."

The "Birds of a Feather" crooner currently boasts eight songs in Spotify's illustrious Billions Club, including "Lovely" with Khalid (2.8 million streams), "Bad Guy" (2.5 million), "When the Party's Over" (1.8 million), "Everything I Wanted" (1.6 million), "Ocean Eyes" (1.4 million), "Happier Than Ever" (1.3 million), "Idontwannabeyouanymore" (1.09 million), and "Bury a Friend" (1.01 million).

Just last month, Eilish released her third studio album, "Hit Me Hard and Soft," which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. All 10 tracks from the album also made their mark, debuting in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. Earlier this year, she further cemented her legacy by becoming the youngest two-time Oscar winner for her soulful original song, "What Was I Made For?" from the film Barbie.
