Just a few months after Dave Coulier bravely disclosed his stage 3 non-Hodgkin Lymphoma diagnosis, the beloved actor has achieved a remarkable milestone: he is now cancer-free! On March 31st, Monday, a spokesperson for the 65-year-old Coulier confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that he had defeated the disease. Shortly thereafter, his Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure broke the joyous news on Instagram.

"DAVE IS CANCER FREE!!!!" exclaimed Cameron Bure, accompanied by a selfie featuring herself, Coulier, and his wife Melissa. "Join me in celebrating this incredible news and let's overwhelm him with all the love the world has to offer!" Cameron Bure, 48, also shared a snapshot of herself and the comedian enjoying a day out together, as well as a still from their days working side by side on the Full House set.

Earlier that Monday, Coulier revealed in an interview with Parade magazine that he had undergone a biopsy on a lymph node in his neck in recent weeks, and the results were beyond encouraging. "Melissa and I waited a week for the biopsy results, and there was no trace of cancer," he revealed. "It's one of the rare instances in my life when hearing 'zero' was music to my ears."

During the interview, Coulier mentioned that he was still awaiting the results of an additional CAT scan to ensure that his cancer was truly in the past. "Let me tell you," he added, "today is the first day I've truly felt, 'Wow, I'm feeling pretty darn good. I feel like myself again.' And I get to share this celebration with you."

Coulier exclusively revealed his stage 3 non-Hodgkin Lymphoma diagnosis to PEOPLE magazine in November 2024. He shared that an upper respiratory infection had led to swollen lymph nodes, prompting him to undergo testing and ultimately receive his diagnosis in October 2024. "This has been a whirlwind of a journey," he reflected at the time. "Seeing how the news affected Melissa, I vowed to stay strong, not just for myself, but for her too."

Melissa also opened up about the challenges her husband faced following his diagnosis, telling WXYZ in January that his treatment had become increasingly difficult as time went on. "He has some really tough days, and as the chemotherapy accumulated, it got harder and more challenging," she admitted. However, Melissa noted that Coulier's sense of humor kept his spirits high during those difficult times.

"He has such a positive attitude, and that's essential when battling cancer," she added. "Every morning, if he's up for it, we put on a song and have a little dance party with the dogs, because when you feel good, you have to celebrate it too." Throughout his journey, Coulier drew inspiration from family members who had also battled cancer.

"I lost my mom to breast cancer, my sister Sharon to breast cancer when she was just 36, and my niece Shannon at 29," he shared, adding that his older sister Karen was fighting cancer alongside him. "I witnessed what those women in my family went through, and I thought to myself, 'If I can be even a fraction as strong as they were, then I'll be just fine,'" he concluded.
