In her candid post, Timpf elaborated that fortune smiled upon her as the cancer was detected at an incredibly early stage – Stage 0 – with her physician reassuring her that it had likely not spread. "Or, as I've lightheartedly assured the handful who I've confided in thus far: Don't panic; it's merely a speck of cancer," she quipped.

"I sat, absorbing the information that the most advisable course of action would be a prompt double mastectomy," she continued, interspersing humor amidst the gravity of her narrative.
