In the first snapshot, the actress can be seen turning her head gracefully to the side, beaming at the camera with a radiant smile. Captioning her post, she wrote, "46 years old. No makeup, no filters (One of my best friends despises filters, so this one's for you!)." She continued, "It's been a tumultuous start to the year. I don't quite feel like myself. Yet, amidst this sense of loss and confusion, I've discovered an unexpected tranquility and letting go that doesn't come naturally to me."

She then extended heartfelt gratitude to her husband, Brian Hallisay, and her three cherished children, Autumn, Atticus, and Aidan, whom she lauded as the "greatest." Additionally, she thanked her mother and friends who inspire her to be a better person every day.

Hewitt elaborated that she possesses all the essentials she genuinely desires and craves, asserting that she doesn't require anything beyond "joyful moments, pursuing my beloved career, cherished time with friends," and "delectable cuisine." She harbored hopes for a transformative year ahead, bringing clarity and perhaps a resurgence of magic. Reflecting on another year of growth, she penned, "I've witnessed how the world can be harsh towards aging women, yet I've also seen the women I admire become happier, sexier, and more powerful with each passing year."

She concluded her post with profound gratitude, stating, "I am immensely thankful for this life. I cherish everyone who chooses to embark on this journey by my side. I'm ready to bestow love upon my younger and older selves, for they are my steadfast companions. Sending love to all and here's to 46!"

Having risen to fame as a child actor in shows like "Kids Incorporated," Hewitt has previously garnered attention for her candidness about aging in the public eye, especially after facing claims of looking "unrecognizable" on social media.

During an appearance on the "Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum" podcast in December 2023, the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" star refuted these claims, which emerged after she debuted a dark bob on Instagram. "Aging in Hollywood is incredibly challenging. You can never do anything quite right," Hewitt shared with the podcast's host, Michael Rosenbaum.

She further elaborated on her decision to address the negative comments, noting that the only reason they bothered her was her role as a mother to a daughter. "It's perilous what we impose on people. It's dangerous, I believe, to tell women, 'You can't look anything but 22 to me anymore because I don't know how to accept that,'" she emphasized.
