Masters of the Universe has finally found its mighty He-Man in the person of Nicholas Galitzine. The actor, who recently stole hearts in Amazon MGM's romantic comedy The Idea of You, has been casted in the studio's upcoming live-action Masters movie, helmed by the talented Travis Knight.

Masters revolves around the heroic Price Adam of Eternia, who, armed with his Power Sword, transforms into the invincible He-Man. Possessing superhuman strength and abilities, He-Man valiantly defends his beloved planet and Castle Grayskull from all evil forces.

The highly anticipated Masters movie is set to hit theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026, thanks to Amazon's distribution. Mattel's Masters of the Universe brand first captivated imaginations in 1982 with its line of action figures and later, in 1983, became a household name through the beloved animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

The development of a Masters movie has had a long and winding road in Hollywood, passing through the hands of Sony, Netflix, and finally landing at Amazon MGM. Over the years, several filmmakers and stars have been attached to the project, with Noah Centineo previously tapped to play He-Man during Netflix's involvement.

For Nicholas Galitzine, this role marks a continuation of his fruitful partnership with Amazon. Prior to his starring role in The Idea of You opposite Anne Hathaway, he starred in the young adult adaptation Red, White, & Royal Blue, which is set to receive a sequel from the studio. Galitzine also appeared in Amazon's musical hit Cinderella, starring Camila Cabello.

Currently, Galitzine is stealing the show in Showtime's Mary & George, further solidifying his position as a rising star. He is represented by the esteemed Curtis Brown Group in the UK, as well as WME, Anonymous Content, and Gang Tyre, who are sure to help him scale new heights in his acting career.
