Allison Williams and Dave Franco steal the spotlight in the debut trailer for Paramount Pictures' cinematic adaptation of Colleen Hoover's gripping novel, "Regretting You," set to mesmerize audiences in theaters on October 24th. This emotional rollercoaster also boasts an ensemble cast featuring Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Sam Morelos, Scott Eastwood, Willa Fitzgerald, and Clancy Brown. Helming the project is Josh Boone ("The New Mutants," "The Fault in Our Stars"), who directs from a heart-wrenching script penned by Susan McMartin ("After").
"Regretting You" delves into the Aftermath of a devastating car accident that tears through a family, claiming the lives of two beloved members and unraveling a web of long-buried secrets and bittersweet regrets. In a poignant moment from the trailer, Thames confides to Grace, "That's not how I thought our first kiss would be."
Based on Hoover's bestselling 2019 novel, the film is a production of Constantin Film, with Robert Kulzer, Brunson Green, Anna Todd, and Flavia Viotti serving as the driving forces behind the camera. Hoover's work has previously made waves on the silver screen with "It Ends With Us," which debuted last summer, grossing over $350 million worldwide under Sony Pictures' banner, directed by Justin Baldoni and starring Blake Lively and Brandon Sklenar.
On the horizon, Amazon MGM Studios is poised to release another Hoover adaptation, "Verity," directed by Michael Showalter and starring Anne Hathaway.
Earlier this summer, Williams enchanted audiences in Universal's sequel "M3GAN 2.0," while Franco's horror flick "Together," co-starring his real-life spouse Alison Brie, premiered in theaters last week via Neon. Additionally, Franco is set to dazzle later this year in Lionsgate's "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t."
