Brad Pitt and Damson Idris rev up the engines with sheer exhilaration in the newest teaser trailer for the racing epic, F1. Pitt takes the lead in this Apple production, destined for an exclusive cinematic release in theaters and IMAX via Warner Bros. on June 25. The star-studded ensemble also boasts Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem, all under the directing prowess of Joseph Kosinski.
In F1, Pitt embodies Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One legend prematurely sidelined from the racetracks, until a persistent team owner (Bardem) lures him back to mentor a promising rookie (Idris). "Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston, and now McLaren—they all own the straights with their raw speed," Pitt declares with electric charisma in a teaser trailer unveiled last year. "But our edge lies in conquering the curves. We must forge our vehicle for the battle ahead."
Kosinski, who previously partnered with Ehren Kruger on the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick in 2022, directs this adrenaline-pumping film from Kruger's script. Pitt, Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, Dede Gardner, racing legend Lewis Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner, and Chad Oman serve as the driving forces behind F1's production.
Idris, during an interview with Vanity Fair last year, expressed his sheer thrill at being part of the film. "I glance to my left, and there's Brad Pitt. I turn to my right, and Javier Bardem catches my eye. I look down at my hands, trembling in awe," Idris reminisced about the film's maiden shoot. "We captured all this epic footage, surrounded by legendary drivers, from Lewis [Hamilton] to [Max] Verstappen and beyond, making every moment truly breathtaking."
