"Did you think you could just get away with it?" Well, he did say he knows he'll get caught one day! The Avenue has unveiled the first official trailer for "Wardriver," a gripping hacking thriller that's about to hit screens starting in March. He's a Wardriver: a hacker who steals from banks, not people – until he's noticed. Now the money turns violent, and the woman caught in it could save him or end them both.
This modern thriller stars Dane DeHaan, Sasha Calle, William Belleau, Karina Gale, Cameron Lee Price, Mamoudou Athie, and Jeffrey Donovan. Cole prowls the city "Wardriving" – hacking from his car, always on the move – until tech predator Oscar forces him into a million-dollar heist where every line of code could be his last. Hack the planet!

An intriguing premise for a thriller, but it doesn't seem remotely realistic or believable, even in today's tech-crazy world. This looks less about hacking and more about how attractive all these people in it are. They're releasing it in theaters for only one week, but it looks like direct-to-streaming quality.
Cole (Dane DeHaan) prowls the city "Wardriving" – hacking from his car and stealing on the move. He convinces himself no one gets hurt, until black-market tech predator Oscar (Mamoudou Athie) forces him into a million-dollar cyber-heist. The job exposes a mob lawyer (Jeffrey Donovan) using Sarah (Sasha Calle) to launder his fortune. As bullets fly and betrayals close in, Cole must risk everything to return the money, protect Sarah, and survive a deadly game of cat-and-mouse where every line of code could be his last.
"Wardriver" is directed by American filmmaker Rebecca Thomas, who previously directed "Electrick Children" and has worked on TV shows like "Limetown," "When the Streetlights Go On," "Archive 81," and "Doc." The screenplay is written by Daniel Casey. The film is produced by Daniel Casey, Dane DeHaan, Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, Tim White, Trevor White, and David M. Wulf. The Avenue will debut Thomas' "Wardriver" in select US theaters starting March 20th, 2026, followed by VOD release on March 27th for you to watch at home. Intrigued?
