Is this destined to be an upgrade battle akin to "Terminator 2"? Two years after the mayhem of "M3GAN," her creator Gemma (now a leading AI expert) is compelled to reactivate her infamous creation to confront Emilia, a military-grade weapon crafted by a defense contractor who stole M3GAN's core technology. Allison Williams reprises her role alongside Violet McGraw, Ivanna Sakhno, Amie Donald (voicing M3GAN by Jenna Davis), Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement. This isn't merely a horror sequel; it's a sci-fi action epic brimming with intensity! Oh my goodness! The crazy duel between these two robots alone has me on the edge of my seat! The trailers below are packed with revelations.

Two years after M3GAN's first reign of terror and subsequent destruction, her creator Gemma (played by Allison Williams) has become a renowned author and an advocate for AI government regulation. Meanwhile, Gemma's niece Katie (Violet McGraw) has entered adolescence, rebelling against Gemma's overprotective rules. Unbeknownst to them, M3GAN's core technology has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor, resulting in Emilia (Ivanna Sakhno, also seen in "Ahsoka" and "Pacific Rim: Uprising"), a military-grade spy killer. However, as Emilia's self-awareness grows, she increasingly resists human commands, even refusing to let them survive. Humanity's fate hangs in the balance, and Gemma realizes the only way out is to revive and upgrade M3GAN (voiced by Jenna Davis), making her faster, stronger, and more deadly. When these two cross paths, it's set to become an AI "bitch-off" for the ages.

"M3GAN 2.0" is directed by Gerard Johnstone, an American filmmaker skilled in horror, who also helmed the original "M3GAN" film and "In the Earth," and has directed episodes of TV series like "Terry Teo" and "The Legend of Monkey King: New Adventures." The screenplay is once again penned by Akela Cooper, who wrote the first film (along with "Malignant" and "The Nun 2"). The film is produced by James Wan, Jason Blum, and Allison Williams, with Blumhouse serving as the production house. Universal Pictures will release Johnstone's "M3GAN 2.0" nationwide on June 27, 2025. Are you ready for more thrills?
