Jack O'Connell, currently stealing the spotlight in the trailer for Ryan Coogler's highly anticipated "Sinners," has gracefully stepped into the ensemble of Legendary Pictures' latest addition to its storied "Godzilla-King Kong" monster saga. Grant Sputore, acclaimed for his directorial prowess in "I Am Mother," helms this installment within the storied Monsterverse, with a screenplay penned by Dave Callaham.

Details of the plot remain buried beneath layers of secrecy akin to the Earth's crust itself, yet Legendary has teased that the narrative will introduce "a multitude of fresh human faces alongside the cherished and iconic Titans, Godzilla and Kong, as they confront an existential peril of catastrophic proportions." Leading the human contingent is Kaitlyn Dever, while Dan Stevens reprises his role as the laid-back monster veterinarian-cum-dentist, Trapper, from "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire."

O'Connell stars as Dever's sibling, a British actor who captured American hearts with his powerhouse performance in "Unbroken," Universal and Angelina Jolie's poignant survival epic based on Olympian Louis Zamperini's life. His recent credits include a compelling turn in the Amy Winehouse biopic "Back to Black," a role in Michael Mann's "Ferrari," and upcoming appearances in two high-stakes studio releases this year. He assumes the mantle of a villain opposite Michael B. Jordan in "Sinners," set for a April 18 release by Warner Bros., and joins an illustrious ensemble in Danny Boyle's zombie thriller "28 Years Later," set to unleash terror in June via Sony, alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Jodie Comer.

O'Connell is represented by UTA, Range Media, Conway van Gelder Grant in the UK, and Sloane, Offer.
