"A Working Man" revolves around Levon Cade (Statham), a former black ops agent who has exchanged the thrills of espionage for the quiet life of a construction worker. However, when his boss's daughter disappears, Levon's mission to locate her pulls him into a murky underworld of corruption and deceit.

"This isn't merely a kidnapping," Statham growls in the trailer. "This is human trafficking." He later declares, "Gangs, the Mob, corrupt government officials – they're all entwined in this vicious web of human trafficking."

At a pivotal moment, Levon's friend, portrayed by Harbour, offers a harsh reality check: "You killed your way into this mess. You're gonna have to kill your way out."

Ayer directed the film from a script he co-penned with Sylvester Stallone, which is adapted from Chuck Dixon's 2014 novel "Levon's Trade." The film's producing credits roll with names like Statham, Ayer, Stallone, Chris Long, John Friedberg, Bill Block, and Kevin King Templeton.

Statham and Ayer's previous collaboration, the thriller "The Beekeeper," which released last year, surpassed the $150 million mark at the global box office. Ayer's other notable credits include "Suicide Squad," and the filmmaker has recently been vocal on social media about advocating for the release of his own cut of the 2016 Warner Bros. film.
