**The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping** is the latest installment in the franchise, brought to you by Lionsgate. The new trailer dropped on Monday, showcasing Joseph Zada as Haymitch Abernathy, battling for his life in the Second Quarter Quell.
"I'm tired of living in fear. Tired of just surviving. We're not animals to be killed for their entertainment," Abernathy declares in the intense teaser

The story in **Sunrise on the Reaping** unfolds in Panem on the morning of the reaping for the 50th Hunger Games, 24 years before the events in the first novel, **The Hunger Games**, published in 2008. However, President Coriolanus Snow, played by Ralph Fiennes, has other plans for Abernathy.
"If you disobey me, we shall open the bloodbath with the longest, most drawn-out death your people have ever seen," Snow says in a voiceover as Abernathy is hoisted into the arena for battle.
The trailer also features an ensemble cast including Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee Latier, Lili Taylor as Mags Flanagan, and Maya Hawke as Wiress.
Francis Lawrence directs the film from a script by Billy Ray, which adapts author Suzanne Collins' novel. The film hits theaters on November 20th, continuing the franchise that began with the 2012 release of **The Hunger Games**, led by Jennifer Lawrence.
Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson produce **Sunrise on the Reaping** for Color Force, with Cameron MacConomy executive producing. This new feature is a sequel to 2023's **The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes**, starring Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, and Hunter Schafer.
