The eagerly awaited next installment in the legendary Planet of the Apes saga is set to make a thrilling debut on Hulu next month. Directed by the brilliant Wes Ball, "Kingdom of the Apes: Rise of the Planet" will premiere on Hulu in the US on August 2nd. This masterful fourth entry in the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" franchise, crafted by 20th Century Studios, takes the story forward several generations after Caesar's reign.

In this film, the apes reign as the dominant species, coexisting harmoniously, while humans are relegated to the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader establishes his empire, a young ape named Noah embarks on a heart-pounding journey that will challenge everything he once knew and force him to make choices that will shape the future of both apes and humans.

Boasting an ensemble cast that includes powerhouse performers like Owen Teague, Kevin Durand, Freya Allen, William H. Macy, and Peter Macon, the film has garnered rave reviews from critics. Owen Gleiberman, writing for Variety, praised the film for capturing the essence of the "Rise of the Planet" franchise. He remarked, "I was deeply immersed in this relatively traditional yet dramatically charged work."

Following its theatrical release on May 10th, "Kingdom of the Apes: Rise of the Planet" raked in a domestic box office gross of $170.7 million and a worldwide total of $396 million, all against a production budget of approximately $160 million.
