Set in a post-apocalyptic 2090, decades after humanity's exile from Earth due to a devastating epidemic, the story follows two astronauts who crash-land in the mighty Himalayas during a reconnaissance mission. Among the soaring peaks, they stumble upon a clandestine city of caves, where a enigmatic guardian awaits, harboring secrets that will challenge their comprehension of survival and destiny. The Nepali word 'eklo' translates aptly as 'alone' in English, mirroring the isolation and uncertainty that permeates the film's narrative.

Joining Nepali, a newcomer whose debut appearance was in the Sujoy Young-directed Nepal TV series "Saahu Ba," are the accomplished actors Benisha Hamal ("Blind Rocks," "Ghar") and Vijay Lama ("Everest"). Pradeep Khadka ("Prem Geet 1," "Prem Geet 3") portrays the enigmatic guru, adding another layer of intrigue to the film's complex narrative.

Directed by Pradeep Shahi, whose latest film "The Last Ritual" has garnered worldwide attention through U.S.-based Scatena & Rosner Films and is slated for theatrical release later this year, "Eklo I" is a visual spectacle. Produced by SHY Productions, a U.K.-based outfit, and Bacon, who boasts credits in films like "Brighton" and the TV series "White Lines," the film serves as a captivating blend of Nepali culture and Western influences.

"This project is a testament to Nepal's booming film industry, showcasing a unique story that has never been told before in the stunning Himalayan region," Shahi enthuses. "It's a privilege for Nepal to be a part of this groundbreaking initiative, introducing the world to our country's exceptional talent and vibrant cinematic landscape."
