Rise and shine to some thrilling news! Kylie Jenner is about to make her acting debut. The Kardashians star has landed a role in a new A24 film titled The Moment, starring alongside Charli XCX, as confirmed by the singer in a tantalizing teaser posted on Instagram on October 9.
Not only is Charli taking the lead role in the movie, but she's also deeply involved in the creative process. The story springs from "an original idea" conceived by her. Aidan Zamiri, who is also slated to direct the project, and Bertie Brandes have collaboratively transformed this concept into a screenplay.
And Kylie isn't the only well-known face joining forces with Charli for this cinematic venture. Alexander Skarsgård, Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, and Kate Berlant have all signed on to the project. Additionally, Rish Shah, Jamie Demetriou, Arielle Dombasle, Hailey Benton Gates, Trew Mullen, Mel Ottenberg, Richard Perez, Isaac Powell, Tish Weinstock, and Michael Workéyè have also secured roles in this exciting endeavor.
As for the character Kylie will portray in the story, that detail remains a closely guarded secret. However, A24 has offered a glimpse into the plot, with a synopsis hinting at a pop star grappling with "the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut."
Kylie—who shares two children, Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, with her ex Travis Scott—hasn't publicly voiced an interest in pursuing acting, like her older sister Kim Kardashian, apart from her brief cameo in Ocean's 8 in 2018. Yet, she has openly shared how entering her late twenties has emboldened her to explore and experiment more in life. "I haven't had a baby in a few years," she revealed to Elle in 2024. "The first part of my twenties was consumed with having children, discovering my personal style, and then losing it—not knowing how to dress, gaining 60 pounds with both pregnancies. It took me a year to feel like myself again."
And Kylie has also given us a peek into the shows she's been binge-watching as she prepares to grace the silver screen. Sharing a photo of herself unwinding with a glass of wine while The Vampire Diaries played on her TV, she penned in an August 4 Instagram Story, "Already halfway through season 3."
