In the gripping trailer for Cold Storage, Liam Neeson's patience wears thin as he strives to halt a lethal contagion. Currently leading the cast of Paramount's revival of The Naked Gun, Neeson once again blends wit with suspense in this dark comedy, slated for a 2026 cinematic release by Samuel Goldwyn Films. Helmed by Jonny Campbell, renowned for his work on Dracula and Westworld, the film originates from StudioCanal and boasts a stellar ensemble including Joe Keery, Georgina Campbell, Sosie Bacon, Vanessa Redgrave, and Lesley Manville.
Cold Storage revolves around Teacake (Keery) and Naomi (Campbell), two workers at a self-storage facility situated on the remnants of a former U.S. military base. They stumble upon a parasitic fungus that has escaped from the facility's depths, triggering a chain of events where the rapidly mutating microorganism causes bodies to explode within the building. "This place was once a military storage," Keery observes in the trailer, referring to their workplace. As the bizarre situation escalates, he quips, "That damned deer just rode the elevator!"
Near the trailer's climax, Neeson, exasperated by Keery, demands, "Would you kindly ask him to cease his incessant babble?"
Campbell directed the film from a screenplay penned by David Koepp, which is adapted from the author's 2019 novel of the same title. Koepp and Gavin Polone serve as producers.
"We are delighted to further our partnership with Studiocanal and thrilled to bring this thrilling film from David Koepp, Jonny Campbell, and Gavin Polone to audiences," stated Peter Goldwyn, President of Samuel Goldwyn Films, and Ben Feingold, CEO, in a previous joint declaration.
