Just as the curtains drew back on the captivating "Despicable Me 4," the news of an imminent sequel has sent fans into a frenzy. It seems like mere moments after the blockbuster film hit theaters, Illumination and Universal Studios revealed the next chapter in the Minions' adventures. With a slated release date of June 30, 2027, "Minions 3" promises to be a visual treat. Penned by Brian Lynch, the mastermind behind "Minions" and "The Secret Life of Pets" films, the movie will be helmed by the veteran director Pierre Coffin, who has not only directed numerous "Despicable Me" and "Minions" installments but also lent his voice to the adorable yellow creatures since their debut in 2010.

In 2022, "Minions: The Rise of Gru" shattered records, boasting the highest-grossing July Fourth opening weekend in domestic cinema history. This year's "Despicable Me 4" further solidified the Minions' enduring popularity, amassing $230 million worldwide upon its release.
