Nick Jonas is in the final stages of negotiations to embody the iconic frontman of KISS, Paul Stanley, in a biopic that chronicles the legendary rock band's journey. The film, titled "Shout It Out Loud," will be helmed by director McG, with STX footing the entire bill for the production.

Hailing from the vibrant streets of New York in the 1970s, KISS made a splash with their glam rock persona, donning face paint and elaborate costumes for every performance. Hits like "Rock and Roll All Nite" and "Deuce" cemented their status as rock legends. Their concerts were a theatrical spectacle, featuring pyrotechnics, rockets, blood-spitting, and smoke, captivating audiences worldwide.

Currently, the search is on for an actor to play the other KISS icon, Gene Simmons. Darren Lemke penned the latest draft of the script, which has been carefully developed by band members, along with Jody Gerson of Universal Music Publishing Group and Bruce Resnikoff of Universal Music Group, who hold the global music rights for the band. David Blackman of Polygram also contributed to the project's development.

Simmons and Stanley will take on producer roles, joined by Mark Canton, Doc McGhee, Gerson, and Blackman, who will serve as producers or executive producers. Leigh Ann Burton, McG and his Wonderland producing partner Mary Viola, David Hopwood, Courtney Solomon, Dorothy Canton, and Sweden-based Pophouse, which acquired the global rights to the KISS brand, including its name and likeness, will also be part of the producing team.

Jonas, represented by UTA and Schreck Rose, has a rich musical background, having been a member of the band The Jonas Brothers and later embarking on a successful solo career with hits like "Jealous." On the film front, Jonas has starred in the "Jumanji" franchise and will next be seen opposite Paul Rudd in John Carney's "Power Ballad" for Lionsgate. With his musical prowess and acting chops, Jonas is poised to bring a unique and authentic portrayal of Paul Stanley to the silver screen.
