Orlando Bloom shed light on his latest endeavor, the London-based film "Deep Cover," during an exclusive interview. The 48-year-old actor, who portrays a struggling performer in this action-packed comedy, extolled the project for its profound underlying messages.

In a heartfelt conversation with Digital Spy, Bloom enthused, "It's truly fantastic. It's all too easy to take oneself too seriously—I've probably been guilty of it myself in the past. What drew me to this project was the notion of embracing the role with deadly seriousness. I envisioned myself fresh out of drama school, disheartened by the lack of opportunities, and dreaming of a brighter future in the industry."

The star of "Carnival Row" also reflected on the essence of acting, remarking, "It serves as a poignant reminder of how fortunate we are to pursue our passions. Yet, it's a profession fraught with challenges. I experienced firsthand the agony of an actor yearning for work, desperately hoping for a break—a sentiment we can all relate to."

Director Tom Kingsley, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, offered an intriguing glimpse into Bloom's character in the film. He shared, "He throws himself wholeheartedly into the role and improvises with such abandon that it actually terrifies his friends. Orlando has a keen understanding of what makes his character humorous and how to bring it to life by fully committing to the part. He's more than willing to poke fun at himself."

Kingsley's directorial venture revolves around an improvisation teacher, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, and her two students who embark on a perilous mission to infiltrate a criminal syndicate. "Deep Cover" is set to premiere on Prime on Thursday, June 12, promising a thrilling and humorous ride for audiences.
