"Weapons" weaves a multi-layered tale centered around a serene town marred by the mysterious disappearance of children under the cover of night. Behind the scenes, Cregger joins forces with producers Roy Lee, J.D. Lifshitz, Raphael Margules, and Miri Yoon to bring this mesmerizing story to life.

Earlier in 2023, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that New Line emerged victorious in a fiercely contested bidding war for Cregger's spec script for "Weapons," securing the filmmaker's talents with an eight-figure deal for both writing and directing duties. In 2022, Cregger's directorial debut, "Barbarian," starring Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård, and Justin Long, captured cult status, amassing over $45 million at the global box office.

Cregger began his Hollywood journey as a member of the comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U' Know and has since starred in series such as "Dads With Kids" and "Wrecked."
