John Cena Shares He Got a Hair Transplant After Facing "Bullying" Over Bald Spot

Right now, John Cena's hair remains hidden from view, as the WWE legend patiently awaits its rejuvenation following a hair transplant surgery. This decision stemmed from the harsh criticism he faced from wrestling enthusiasts over what he termed as a "bald patch" on his scalp. During a live taping of The Pat McAfee Show on April 21, just a day after his triumph over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, John playfully addressed the audience, saying, "You guys tore me apart for a genetic flaw beyond my control. You all chanting in unison, making me feel insignificant and embarrassed."

The 47-year-old further revealed that he had noticed "countless bald spot signs," adding, "That's blatant bullying, and it's not okay. Thanks for bullying me into opting for surgical hair restoration. You really pushed me to this extent."

John underwent the procedure in November, where doctors harvested hairs from the sides of his head to "transplant them atop." Speaking candidly about his hair transplant, he said, "There's no stigma attached to it," noting that balding "affects seven out of ten men." "I had an issue," John admitted, "and I tried to resolve it."

Describing his hair transformation as an "ongoing project," the Peacemaker star added, "Hopefully, within a few months, it'll look much better."

However, John faces another hairy dilemma. He explained, "I can't grow a mustache." With a chuckle, he confessed, "I'm beardless, folks. I haven't shaved in a decade." Jokingly, John suggested that he might only be able to grow a mustache if he transplanted hairs from the top of his head. "You see, I heed your silly suggestions," he laughed. "You take the grass from over here and plant it on the barren patch."
