With Wirkola directing, the film is set to begin shooting in Melbourne this July, promising an edge-of-your-seat adventure. Details about the plot are being kept tightly under wraps, but rumors swirl that it centers around a community grappling with shark attacks during a fierce hurricane.

Adam McKay and Kevin Messick, producers of hits like "Don't Look Up" and "The Big Short," are bringing their expertise to the project through their production company, HyperObject Industries.

Peak, who was born in Uganda and raised in Canada, made a splash playing Zoya Lott in the "Gossip Girl" reboot, portraying the newcomer to the intricate world of Manhattan's elite school. She also starred alongside icons Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimi in "Hocus Pocus 2," which quickly became one of Disney+'s most-watched streaming movies.

Next up, Peak will star alongside Dave Bautista and Sophia Lillis in Signature Film's upcoming action thriller, "Trap House." She is represented by CAA, Canopy Media Partners, Play Management, and Jackoway Austen.

With such a talented cast and crew, this shark thriller is sure to be a summer blockbuster that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
