Undoubtedly, the companionship of Hen (portrayed by Aisha Hinds) and Karen (embodied by Tracie Thoms) is a blessing to behold! ABC recently unveiled a never-before-seen snippet from 9-1-1's seventh season, episode nine titled "Ashes, Ashes." In this fleeting moment, the duo inquisitively confronts Tommy (played by Lou Ferrigno Jr.) about his motives towards Buck (Oliver Stark).

The episode commences with the 118 and Tommy being honored with medals for their bravery during the cruise ship catastrophe that sparked the season's narrative. Notably, Bobby (Peter Krause) was unconvinced of Tommy's deserving such recognition and voiced his sentiments during his speech. This excised scene transpires at the reception, where Bobby tendered his resignation, and Captain Gerrard revealed his unwavering unpleasantness.

"What's your angle here?" Hen probes Tommy in the video, which you can captivate in the Instagram post below. He mistakenly assumes she's referring to his plate and replies, "To my table, so I can enjoy my dessert." Karen clarifies, "We're inquiring about your intentions with Buck." Once again, Tommy initially thinks they're discussing the cake. "We're discussing your motives," Hen elucidates, and Karen follows suit, "Are they genuine?" Tommy's dismissive "I'm adorned with a medal" falls flat. He adds, "We're taking it step by step. In fact, I'm letting Buck lead the way, and I'm simply trying to keep up."

Buck and Tommy shared their first kiss in season seven's fourth episode and embarked on their maiden date in the subsequent episode. Initially, Buck kept their relationship under wraps, but he eventually brought Tommy to his sister Maddie's (Jennifer Love Hewitt) wedding, effectively disclosing their bond to all. The couple seemed to conclude the season on a positive note; Bobby had commented to Buck that he knew Tommy was a positive influence because they hadn't needed to discuss him, and the two were last seen dining together in the season finale.
