Aaron Paul is embarking on an exhilarating new chapter with a bold "Bonjour" to a fresh start. The Breaking Bad veteran has revealed that he and his family made the decisive move out of Los Angeles earlier this year, spurred by the devastating wildfires that ravaged the city in January. "When the fires happened in LA, we knew our time there was up," he confided to the Daily Mail in an interview published on November 21st. "So we sold our house and made the leap to Paris."

While the Emmy winner and his wife Lauren Parsekian Paul—who share children Story, 7, and Ryden—were fortunate enough to escape the destruction, the disaster served as a catalyst for a life-changing decision. Despite admitting that he's still working on his French, Aaron couldn't be happier with his choice. "Paris is amazing," he enthuses. "We've always yearned for a completely different cultural experience."

The 46-year-old is hopeful that the Parisian way of life will leave a lasting impression on his young children. "We went there for the kiddos," he explains, adding that he and Lauren—who tied the knot in 2013—"have always dreamt of spending a year abroad."

Aaron is not alone in seeking a new environment. Josh Duhamel recently revealed his own move to Minnesota, seeking a quieter lifestyle. "We become so accustomed to all these luxuries and amenities," he told People in August. "For me, this is an opportunity to return to basics and truly appreciate the simple things in life—family, friends, and creating memories."
