Aaron Rodgers Says He Got Himself Into “Crazy Town” With His Past Relationships

Published: Mar 06 2026

Aaron Rodgers is unafraid to speak his mind about his romantic missteps. Months after announcing his marriage to Brittani, the NFL quarterback delved into why he believes his past relationships failed.

"I found myself in the crazy town," Aaron revealed during the March 4 episode of The Pat McAfee Show. "I was surrounded by individuals who called the paparazzi, leaked or talked about where I lived, and coerced me to make social media posts. I never wanted to live a public life."

The 42-year-old continued, "If you look at the saga with my family, for years it was one-sided. They were making shots in the media, saying nonsense. I never said anything until it got to the point where I was like, 'Alright, enough is enough.'"

Indeed, Aaron has long been estranged from his family, including parents Ed and Darla Rodgers, as well as brothers Jordan and Luke. Jordan detailed the difficult dynamic on The Bachelorette in 2016. He alleged that the athlete's complicated rift with his family began that year when he was dating Olivia Munn.

Shortly after the couple called it quits, the New Girl alum admitted she was publicly blamed for the Rodgers' complex feud. However, Aaron emphasized in his 2024 biography, Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers, that she had "nothing to do with all the years" of "deep-rooted" struggles between his family.

Fast forward to now, the Green Bay Packers alum, who also dated Danica Patrick and was engaged to Shailene Woodley, is no longer interested in publicly addressing his family and romantic affairs. In fact, he wants the media to stop pushing certain narratives about his love life.

"To some of those, I just want to say, 'Just f--king move on. It's been years and years and years,'" Aaron told Pat McAfee. "Stop lying about me. It's not just them, but it's other people in the media that there's this relevance they feel that they have to mention my name. I'm not seeking relevance. I'm not seeking attention."

Indeed, he's focused on building a private legacy with his wife, including keeping details about her last name and profession out of the spotlight. However, there's one aspect of their marriage he doesn't mind sharing with the world: Their sex life.

"I want to look good. I want my wife to want to f--k me all the time," he noted. "It's harder when you get older. You can't take the same time off as you used to." But now that the athlete is in off-season, he's been crafting a schedule to keep his mind—and body—active.

"Just to stay in shape," Aaron expressed. "You have to always be dialed in on diet, sleep and workouts."
