Adam Sandler Slams "Insane" Viral Story Involving Daughter Sadie at a Chanel Store

Adam Sandler is keen to put an end to the misleading narrative surrounding a fake story that has been garnering unnecessary attention. After AI-generated videos of the comedian began surfacing, with one claiming his daughter Sadie was the center of an interaction at a Chanel store, the comedian dismissed it as "some dumb thing."

"I've been hearing about this thing and I saw it, and it's just insane," Adam told People in an interview on February 6th. "It's just this made-up, weird thing that people keep asking me about. And I'm just like, 'I've never heard of this in my life.' That story was 100% insane and made-up, and not a word of it is true."

Despite calling the AI story "pathetic," Adam quipped, "There's also some story I heard about me going to an In-N-Out Burger at midnight and getting a bunch of Double-Doubles, and I have to say, that story is true."

The fake clips circulating online depict an AI version of Adam, who shares daughters Sadie and Sunny, 17, with his wife Jackie Sandler, claiming his elder daughter was "humiliated" after attempting to buy a handbag at a Chanel boutique in Beverly Hills while dressed casually.

"The sales associate scanned her with pure disdain," the fake Adam droned in one version on TikTok, "then bluntly told her the limited-edition classic flap bag, priced at $28,600, was only for 'real customers.'"

The videos further allege that Adam's daughter texted him about the situation, prompting him to rush to the store himself.

"I looked that associate straight in the face and asked her if she was judging people by how they looked," the AI continued. "I turned to the manager and ordered every classic flap bag wrapped up, all 12 styles, totaling $312,000."

This isn't the first time a celebrity has had to correct a narrative popularized by AI. In 2024, Katy Perry addressed an AI-generated photo of her attending the Met Gala that even her mother Mary Perry fell for. At the time, Katy shared a text she received from her mom where she called the fake flowery gown she wore in the photo "gorgeous," to which the pop star responded, "Mom, the A.I. got you too, beware."
