Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are getting married! The former GMA3: What You Need to Know anchor, aged 52, and the journalist, aged 48, joyfully announced their engagement on the October 14th episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast. "We're thrilled to share with all of you that we're engaged, and we've actually been engaged for nearly a month now," Robach excitedly told their listeners.

Holmes chimed in with a laugh: "We wanted to break the news to you all before anyone else got the chance. We've learned our lesson, I suppose, from past experiences regarding our relationship." Holmes then playfully teased his fiancée, saying, "You've been flaunting that ring in everyone's face at every opportunity, and not a single person said a peep."

"I spent three weekends in a row at massive football stadiums, proudly and excitedly wearing my engagement ring, just waiting for someone to notice and ask, 'Hey, what's that?' But it never happened," Robach recounted with a smile. "And if people did see it, maybe they were just being polite," she added with a chuckle.

Robach also recalled a moment during their secret engagement when she was about to post a picture on social media. "Holmes stopped me and asked, 'Babe, do you see what's really prominent in that picture? What's in the frame?' So, I decided not to post it because I didn't want that to be the focus of the photo," she explained.

Holmes then joined in, saying, "We've been intimately celebrating with friends, very close people, for the past three weekends. All of them are going to look back and think, 'Oh my gosh, how did we miss that?'" The couple promised to share the details of "how it all went down" at a later date. In the meantime, they said they've just been "celebrating with family."

Robach and Holmes first sparked dating rumors in November 2022. Their romance made headlines because Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue at the time, while Holmes was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. However, a source told PEOPLE that there was no overlap between the anchors' romance and their respective marriages.

After divorcing their previous partners and going public with their relationship, the ex-GMA3 co-anchors reached many relationship milestones, including moving in together. Robach—who was also married to Tim McIntosh, with whom she shares daughters Ava and Annalise, from 1996 to 2009—shared her vision for her third wedding on a February 2024 episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast.

She said she envisioned something smaller and more intimate. "A justice of the peace in Vegas," she mused. "Is there even a justice of the peace in Vegas?" Holmes asked, adding with a grin, "I thought only Elvis officiated weddings there... That's where you want to tie the knot?"

Continuing to share her wedding dreams with Holmes, Robach said, "I really would love for it to be a very intimate gathering. And I would absolutely consider running off and eloping somewhere." "I think that's probably what I'd choose if I had to pick. Eloping and going to Fiji or somewhere really nice and far away," she added with a dreamy look in her eyes.
