Ana de Armas has been spending quality time with Manuel Anido Cuesta amidst the vibrant landscapes of Spain. On the second day of December, the charming 36-year-old actress was captured holding hands with Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, as they strolled leisurely through the streets of Madrid. This isn't the first time the pair has been spotted together; back in November, they were seen sharing a tender kiss in the same city.
Having grown up in Cuba, de Armas also holds Spanish citizenship through her grandparents. In a 2016 interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed that moving to Spain to embark on her acting journey was "the only way I had to escape" the constraints of life in Cuba. Representatives for de Armas did not promptly respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on her current relationship status.
Recently, de Armas's romantic life has been a subject of much speculation. She was last linked to Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis and before him, she dated Ben Affleck for about a year. The couple, who were first seen together in March 2020, parted ways amicably in January 2021, as confirmed by a source to PEOPLE.
On the professional front, de Armas has been keeping busy. She recently starred in director Ron Howard's film Eden, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September but is still awaiting a theatrical release. Last year, the actress reportedly relocated to a serene home in rural Vermont, where she told E! News in a September interview that she had "discovered a haven where I truly feel disconnected from the hustle and bustle."
"Here, I can recharge and only invite those I cherish. It's my little cocoon," she shared at that time. "You just know when it's time for a change. Prioritize yourself. There comes a moment when you realize what's beneficial for you and what's not. Pay attention to that inner voice and take action."
