Anderson .Paak recently revealed that when performing alongside Bruno Mars, he feels "liberated." As the creator of the hit song "Leave the Door Open," he will join his Silk Sonic bandmate on stage during Bruno's The Romantic Tour, debuting his DJ alter ego, DJ Pee. He will then merge with Bruno to perform their collaborative hits, and Anderson expressed his joy at being part of a grand stadium spectacle.

"This is a dream come true. It's like a luxurious tour – you know?" he told PEOPLE magazine, adding, "I've been on tours before, but nothing compares to being on a stadium tour with excellent catering, spacious rooms, thousands of people, and the opportunity to play uplifting music."
Anderson also hinted that fans worldwide are in for a "special treat" at these shows, and he was thrilled to reunite with Bruno for the first time since their 2022 Las Vegas residency, An Evening with Silk Sonic. "It's like we never left. We're back together, doing the choreography and performing these songs," he exclaimed. "Many people missed our residency, so this is a fresh experience for them. It's incredible. There's no better feeling."
He continued, "When we're together, it's something unique. When we're together, we're free. I feel like we're tapping into our true selves, and it's unlike anything else."
Anderson also praised his ex-wife Jaylyn Chang and his extended family for making touring easier for him amidst his commitments to his two sons, Soul (15) and Shine (8). "It's very challenging, and the balance is always uneven unless you have a great partner," he said. "When someone is always working and traveling, it takes a village. Time doesn't stop, and the kids keep growing. There has to be someone there nurturing and watching over them. It's not about how much time you spend; it's about what you do with the time you spend with them."
