Andy Cohen Tells Kristen Bell Why His Son Ben, 6, "Hates" Elsa From Frozen

Andy Cohen's son, Ben, couldn't contain his excitement any longer. Just moments before the Watch What Happens Live host was about to embark on an interview with Frozen star Kristen Bell, who lent her voice to Princess Anna in the 2013 animated film, he revealed that his 6-year-old had strong feelings about Queen Elsa, the older sister voiced by Idina Menzel. "My son hates Elsa so much," Andy, father to both Ben and 3-year-old Lucy, told Kristen in a video shared on SiriusXM's Instagram page on October 24. "He's an avid Anna fan. It's so clear to him that Elsa is a real jerk."

In the film, Elsa possesses magical ice powers that she's unable to control, leading her to accidentally thrust her kingdom into an eternal winter. Her complex character has made her one of Disney's most beloved, which may explain why Kristen was so taken aback by Ben's harsh stance. After letting out an incredulous gasp, the 45-year-old told Andy, 57, "I've never heard those words."

Last year, Kristen dropped a bombshell about one of the songs featured in the movie musical, pointing out some hidden toilet humor in "For the First Time In Forever." During the track's first verse, Anna sings, "For years I've roamed these empty halls / Why have a ballroom with no balls?" And according to Kristen, the double entendre was absolutely intentional, telling Vanity Fair in an October 2024 TikTok video, "We slid it under the radar."

"It almost didn't make it in," she continued. "But then we were like, 'What are you talking about? That's not what it means. Don't be a perv.'" While downplaying the dirty joke helped ensure it didn't get cut from the movie, the Nobody Wants This star certainly couldn't minimize the significance of lending her voice to a Disney Princess. "They're so formidable in your life when you're young and I was obsessed with them," she explained. "I remember sitting in my living room and on my little old boombox, recording myself singing The Little Mermaid in case I ever needed that tape."
