Helming the directorial reins for this upcoming project, titled *Embassy*, is the renowned John Strickland, celebrated for his acclaimed works such as *Line of Duty*, *The Flight Attendant*, *Bodyguard*, and *The Rig*.
This gripping six-part geo-political action thriller is set to be produced under the esteemed banners of Ascendant Fox and Turbine Studios. Kendrick, the celebrated star of the *Twilight* saga, will share the screen with the esteemed J.K. Simmons, known for his Oscar-winning role in *Whiplash*.
Production for *Embassy* is slated to commence in February 2026, with filming taking place in the vibrant cities of London and Cologne. The series will be distributed by AGC Television, which plans to unveil it to international buyers at the prestigious Mipcom event. The narrative will revolve around an American diplomat who faces a harrowing dilemma: whether to safeguard the U.S. Ambassador or obey orders to extract a high-value asset amidst a violent takeover of the U.S. Embassy by armed mercenaries.
Prior to this, the 40-year-old American actress delighted audiences in *A Simple Favor*, sharing the screen with Lively and Michele Morrone. Kendrick also has another thrilling project on the horizon, *Babies*, where she will star opposite Seth Rogen. Filming for this venture is scheduled to begin in November.
Additionally, Kendrick is set to join the cast of Chris Rock’s highly anticipated directorial debut, currently untitled but produced under the prestigious A24 banner. The film will feature a star-studded ensemble, including Anna alongside Adam Driver and Daniel Kaluuya.
