AMC Networks has solidified its commitment to delve deeper into the captivating world of "Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire." The eagerly anticipated renewal of the series for a third season on AMC and its streaming counterpart AMC+ was announced with great enthusiasm on Wednesday, mere days before the season finale of Season 2 airs on June 30.

'Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire' Renewed for Season 3 at AMC 1

This iconic series kickstarted AMC's expansion into the enchanting "Anne Rice Immortal Universe," which now encompasses the production of Season 2 of "Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches" and the recently commissioned, tantalizingly titled "Anne Rice's The Talamasca."

"Interview With the Vampire" shines brightly with Jacob Anderson portraying the enigmatic vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac, who reunites with interviewer Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) half a century after their initial encounter. Sam Reid embodies the legendary Vampire Lestat, while Season 2 also introduces Assad Zaman (Armand), Delainey Hayles (Claudia), and Ben Daniels (Santiago) to the compelling narrative.

Mark Johnson oversees this vast "Anne Rice Immortal Universe," while Rolin Jones, the mastermind behind the creation, scripting, and execution of "Interview With the Vampire," brings the stories to life with exquisite detail. Joined by executive producers Johnson, Jones, Mark Taylor, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice herself, this team has crafted a masterpiece.

"When we acquired the rights to Anne Rice's 18 novels, selling over 150 million copies, we dreamed of a show as captivating as 'Interview,'" said Dan McDermott, President of Entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. "Rolin's dedication to these stories and characters, along with Mark's stewardship of this universe, has surpassed even our most optimistic expectations. We are eager to see where this creative team takes the series next, knowing we have a fiercely loyal fanbase who cherishes this material as much as we do."

Since its premiere on October 2, 2022, "Interview With the Vampire" has garnered a remarkable 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its first two seasons. Rolin Jones expressed his gratitude, saying, "To the stellar casts and crews of Seasons 1 and 2, your hard work has brought us to this triumphant moment. To our dedicated and unwavering fanbase, your unbridled enthusiasm has scaled the walls of our castle. Thank you, Dan McDermott and Ben Davis, for the resources and support to continue Anne Rice's epic narratives. And to the family and friends of Sam Reid, our sincere apologies for the ongoing possession of Monsieur L. He promises to return your loved one's body should the series ever be cancelled — but let's pray that night never comes."
