Austin Butler is opening up about a hair-raising experience. The actor, recently acclaimed for his portrayal of Elvis Presley, reminisced about a visit to Puerto Rico to witness Bad Bunny's mesmerizing "No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí" residency. However, he confessed that partaking in a marijuana edible might have been a bite more than he could handle.

"Just before the show, someone kindly offered me an edible, and at the time, it seemed like a fine idea," Austin recounted during an August 12th appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. "Little did I know, we were in a cozy casita, practically serving as a secondary stage where Bad Bunny would eventually perform."

The 33-year-old admitted that, despite being in the entertainment sphere, he wasn't mentally prepared to become a part of the "Monaco" crooner's (real name Benito Ocasio) electrifying performance.

"Suddenly, I found myself sharing the stage with Bad Bunny," Austin reminisced. "The edible had kicked in, causing my mind to split into two realms. One part of me was thrilled, reminiscing about having lunch with Benito earlier that day and feeling immensely proud of him."

He further elaborated, "I was mesmerized by his performance, admiring Puerto Rican culture, the enchanting dances, and the breathtaking allure of everyone present. But on the other hand, I wasn't feeling too great myself."

"Another part of me was warning, 'Don't dance; you might steal his thunder. This is his moment.' So, I was torn between hiding and letting the music seep into my very bones," Austin shared.

Indeed, Austin's conflicting emotions led to an excruciatingly awkward dance that, unsurprisingly, went viral.

"I wanted to dance with all my heart," the former Disney star clarified. "But an inner voice kept reminding me, 'Don't detract attention.' So, I ended up swaying my hips while crossing my arms. Strangely, every time I uncrossed them, I felt like I was drawing undue focus to myself."

Austin isn't the only celebrity to have had a less-than-stellar experience with marijuana. Daisy Edgar Jones had an even more harrowing encounter when she first tried weed during a trip to Amsterdam.

"I was consumed by paranoid thoughts, believing I'd never stop laughing," Daisy shared during an appearance on Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain last July. "I think I passed out and woke up in an ambulance."

Following that harrowing experience, the Normal People actress decided to steer clear of cannabis. "From that moment on, I realized, 'This isn't for me,'" she concluded.
